THE BOARD OF TRTJSTEES OF THE CITY OF L�d'v?OOD DOES RESOT,VE AS

� TH1tT, `dJ'�?EREAS, THF; BOARD OF TRUSTEES of the City of Zynwood
having in open session on the 24th day of August, 1926, opened,
examined and publicly declared all sealed proposals or bids for
performing the following work of improvement in said City, to-wit:
First: That Banning Avenue, between-the produced east Tine
of I,ot 27, Block 15, Belle Vernon i��res, as per map rscorded in
Book 9, Page 196 of I�?aps, Records of I,os Angeles County, California,
� and a line 12 feet westerly from and parallel �vith the east line oY
Belle Vernon Boulevard, be improved by certain grading and by the
construction of esrtain eement'concrete pavement, the construction
of cement concrete curb, the construction of cement concrete side-
walk,.and three-quarter ineh (4") wrought iron pipe water services
and appurtenances, except where sidewalk and curb exist to official
grade along said Banning Avenue.
Second: All the foregoing work is fully set forth, dolineated
and. described on the Plan and Profile !�o. 501, on file in the office
of the City Engineer, and Specifications ivo. 1 for the construction
. of cement_curbs in the City of-Zynwood, Specifications.No.-2 for the -.
construction of cement sidewalks in the City of I,ynwood, Specifica-
tions ieo. 7 for street paving.with r,ortland cement concrete pavsment
in the City of I,ynwood, �alifornia, and Specifications No. 9 for
the furnishing and the laying o£ water pipe and appurtenanees i'n
the City oY I,yntivood, Cali�ornia, on file in tho office of the City
Clerk of said �ity. Said plans and speeifications are hereby re-
ferred to for full and detailed description of said proposed work or
improvemer�t and made a part hereof.
Third: •The grade to which the �vork shall be done and improve-
ments made which are provided for in Rssolution o£ Intention No.
- 296, shall be shown on said Plan and Profile Pdo. 501, adopted there-
for and on file in the.o£fice of the City Engineer, to which said
Plan and Profile reference is hereby made For the description of
such grade.
Ths expsnse oY said work or improvemsnt is by the s�id Resolu-
tion made ohargeable upon a district which said district is dee-
cribsd in and by the said Rssolution and is shovan on Plan No. 503,
or� file in the office oY the City Engineer.
Bonds will be issued as provided for in.said Rosolution of
Intsntion, No. 296.
��Reference being mado�to Resolution of Iriterition No. 296 for
further particulars of sa'id work of improvement.

of said proposals or bids except the next herein mentioned, and
hereby awards the contraet for said work and improvement to the
lowest regular rssponsible bidder, to-lvit: to uR. k. and P: R. Hughes
at-the prices named for said work of impr.ovement in their proposal
on file for said improvement, to-w�it:

The Lynvao'od Tribune, a v✓eekly newspaper of general circulation
published and circulated in said City of Lyntivood, is hereby designated
as tne,newspaper in which the notice of award shall,b,e published in
. the manner and by the persons required by'law.
The City.Clerk is hereby directed to post a notice of this
award, �vith.specifications; conspicuously for five days,,on or near '
' the Chamber poor of.tne Board of Trustees; also to publish said
' notice of av�ard by two insertions in said weokly newspaper.
The City Clerk sha11-certify to the passage of.this Resolution
and thereupon and therea3ter the same shall be in full force and
affect.
