A RESOLUTION APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR
ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE TO THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA AND THE AMERICAN
FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES AS IT
PERTAINS TO COMPENSATORY TIME OFF
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa ("City") entered into a contract
agreement with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees
Council 61 ("AFSCME") acting on behalf of the City employees; and,
Whereas, AFSCME has requested a language change to the current agreement as it
pertains to compensatory time off; and,
Whereas, the City of Tiffin has reviewed and considered the request and the attached
language change,
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to approve
the Memorandum of Understanding for additional language to the Collective Bargaining
Agreement Between the City of Tiffin and American Federation of State, County and
Municipal Employees as it pertains compensatory time off and to authorize the Mayor to
sign and City Clerk to attest said agreement, which is attached hereto and made a part
of this resolution.
On the 2nd day of August, 2022, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Limkemann introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2022-068, A
RESOLUTION APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR
ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE TO THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA AND THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF
STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES AS IT PERTAINS TO
COMPENSATORY TIME OFF and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by
Councilperson Orris.
Ayes: Schnedler, Limkemann, Orris, Olney, Havens.
Nays: None.
Absent: None.
Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2022-068, A RESOLUTION APPROVING A
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE TO THE
COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA
AND THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL
EMPLOYEES AS IT PERTAINS TO COMPENSATORY TIME OFF to be adopted and
signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 2nd day of August, 2022.
