CALL TO ORDER
The Council "Pre- Meeting" Work Session of January 20, 2004, was convened at 5:45 p.m.
by Mayor John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Angle, Berry, Ferguson, Gordon, Groner, Klindt, Olsen, and Weber
Absent: Viessman and Vogel
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
The following categories had items brought up for discussion:
PRESENTATIONS FROM STAFF, CONSULTANTS AND INVITED GUESTS
Mayor John Landwehr asked if there were any objections to moving some of the invited
guests up on the agenda since some of them need to leave early. There were no
objections.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
Mayor John Landwehr stated that he has been requested to move the pending bills
associated with the two public hearings up so that they will be third -read and placed on final
passage immediately after the public hearings so that citizens can leave if they need to.
CONSENT AGENDA
There were questions asked about third term appointments. Mayor John Landwehr stated
that names of interested applicants will be sent out with minutes of the Appointment Review
Committee. He stated he does not want to get into comparing applicants' names at the time
the appointments are being voted on in the regular meeting, but suggested anyone with
questions or comments address those beforehand.
BILLS PENDING
COUNCIL WORK SESSION JANUARY 20, 2004
2003 -157: Councilman Cliff Olsen announced he will be abstaining on this bill. Councilman
Michael Berry announced he had done some legal work several years ago for one of the
persons who is asking for the rezoning, but that, unless the Council objects, he plans to
vote on the bill because he does not believe he has a conflict.
2003 -160: Councilman Clyde Angle asked Councilman Cliff Olsen to withdraw this bill.
Councilman Cliff Olsen stated he does not plan to withdraw it and will bring it up for a vote
tonight.
The Work Session ended at 6:00 P.M.
