IT IS HERr.BY RLSOLVED AP1D DETERMIN'i� by the City Council �of the City:of.Lynwood, as.follows: - � ' Section 1. It�is hereby determined that the public interest, convenience-and necessity require and demand and that it , is the intention of the City Council of said city.to order the � vrork and improvements herein'set forth� all und'er and in � accordance with the provisions of the 'Acquieition and.Improvement Act of 1925" and a1T amendments thereto, namely: That Tweedy and Abbott Road, lying part in the City of Lynwood and lyin� part in the City of,SouthGate, improved by grading between the following limits; for its.entire width between the easterly line of San Antonio Avenue and the westerly line of San Gabriel Avenue; and the southerly 50 feet thereof from the westerly line of San Gabriel Avenue to the easterly line of San . Luis Avenue (as said San Luis Avenue is located southerly from ' said Tweedy and Abbott Road); and the southerly 41.5 feet thereof from the easterly line of said San Luis Avenue to the easterly line of Washington Avenue; and the southerly 51.5 feet thereof . from the easterly line<of.�"�ashington Avenue to a line 15 feet westerly of and parallel to the v��este'rl,y line of�Walnut Avenue; and' the southerly 49.5 feet thereof from said line 15 feet westerl,y of and parallel to .tbe westerly line of Walnut Avenue to a line 20 feet westerlv of and narallel to the center line of ' Atlantic Avenue (as said Atlantic:Avenue exists northerly of - soid T.zveedv and Abbott Road): and the northerl,y 68 feet of the , southerly �i3 feet thereof from a line-20 feet east of` and'Aarallel to the center line of said Atlantic Avenue, to a line 20 feet easterly of and parallel to the westerly line of iNright Hoad, said grading to extend around'and to the ends of the curb returns • at the intersection of said Tweedy and Abbott Road with Wright • Road and also at Atlantic Avenue; also, that a pavement 30 feet in width consisting of•compressed Portland cement concrete laid upon a 4 inch decomposed granite sub-base; and varying in thiqk- ness from 8 inches to 6 inches, be constructed in the above men-' tioned.portions of.Tweedy.and_Abbott Road described as to be graded, from the easterly line of San Antonio Avenue to tho westerly line�of Wright Road; also,.that'an oiled surface road- way be c'onstructed in tYie northerly 20 feet of. the portion of said Tweedy and Abbott Road so to be graded hereinbefore mentioned from the easterly line of'Washington Avenue to a line 15 feet westerly of and parallel to'the westerly line of 4Valnut Avenue; and in the northerly 18 feet of.said portion so to be graded from said line 15 feet west of and parallel to the westerly line of I P�alnut Avenue,to a line 20 feet east of and parallel to the westerly line of -l�Vright Road except +at tiVright Road and �at Atlantia � Avenue where the oiled surface roadway is to extsnd around the curb and gutter`re'turns to'the end.thereof. The riotice of all persons affected is direated to the grades for the proposed improvement and to the provisions of the acquisition and improvement act of 1925, relating to �rades. . Section 2. Refarence is hereby made to , tha said map-,of the said �ssessment.distriot so. on file for sll details as to the extent of the said proposed assessment district, the boundaries.of the proposed differerit zones and for all' details with reference to said assessment district and to said zones. ,- Section 3. For the costs an3,expenses of.the things herein. proposed to be done as�hereinbefore set forth, bonds will be issued to the total amount of the same, said bonds are to bear interest at the rate of seven (7) per cent per annum, pnyable semi-annizally, the first payment-of said interest to be made the second day of January, or the sacond day of July, (whichever month fir'st succeeds the date of the bonds) next succeeding one year after the date of such bonds, the last installment of intereat to be paid at the maturity of said bonds and the aggregate , principal of all bonds issued under the proceedings to be paid " and : discharged v:�ithin twenty (20), years after the,date of their issuance, approximately one-seventeenth part "of said aggregate - principal to be payable each year, all in golfl coiri, the £irst payment on the aggregate principal of the said bonds to be made three (3) years after the issuance of said bonds. M.,of said day, in.the.Chambers of the City Council of the City of Lynwood, in the City.Hall in said City of T�ynwood, is hereby fixed as the day, hour and place for hearing ob,jections to what is hereinbefore mentioned as intended to be ordered and done. Attention is hereby directed to the provisions „ of the Acquisition and Improvement Ac� of 1925, and all amendments thereto, relative to the matter of objections and protests. Section 5. That IRA F. COGSVYELL, the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Lynwood, California, is hereby appointed Superintendent of VJork without compensation and he is hereby . ordered to cause to be conspicuously posted,along the said contemplated improvements in tfie manner provided by the said Acquisition and Improvement Act of 1925, and ell amendments . � 'thereto, notices of the adoption of this resolution. This City Council deems it advisable, and�it is hereby ordered that said notices shall consist of printed copies of this Resolution of •. Intention entitled "Notice of Public.Improvement" in letters not _ • less than one inch,in length. ;� Section 6.
