RESOLUTION N0.523
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOhRD OF TRUSTEES, NOW
_ KNOWN A$ THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, STATING THE RESULT OF
THE CANVASS OF THE ELECTION HELD JUNE 23rd,
1928
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees, now known as the City Council
of the City of Lynrrood by Ordinance No. 107 duly called and provided for
the holding o£ a special election in Palomar Park Diatrict (Incorporated)
in said City, knovan ae P�unicipal Improvement District No. l, on June 23rd '
1928, for the purpose of Eubmitting to the qualified votere of. said City
the proposition set forth in said ordinance and hereinafter stated; a nd
WHF�ZEAS, notice of said election wa,s duly give in time, form
and manner as provided by 1aw and said election was on sa.id date held
at the Rea1 Estate Office of Hugh Smith, 11108 Alameda Street, in said
�City betw:een the hours of si.x o'clock A. M. and seven o'clock P. P�.,
andtsa.id election was duly �,nd ligally held and conducted and the votes
cast thereat canvassed and the returne there0f made at the time and in
the manner and form provided by law; and
WHEREAS, on thie 25th day of June, 1928, the firet Monday
after said election, at 7:Q0 o'clock P. M., said Board of Trustees,
of City Council, of said City of Lynwood have duly aesembled in regular
meeting at the usual place of ineeting of said Council or Board in the
City Hall in said City, and have cznvassed said returns oi s�id electi�:
NOW, THEREI�ORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees, or
City Council, of said Citg of Lynvaood that a special election, for the
Purpose of eubmitting to the pualified voters of eaid District in said
City the said proposition hereinafter set forth, was duly called and
ordered to be held on June 83rd, 1928, by s�.id Ordirance No. 107 asid that
notice of said election w�s duly given in time, form and manner as pro-
vided by lav�, and tha.t said election was on said June 23rd, 1928, duly
and legally held and conducted and the votes c�st thereat canvassed a nd
the returns thereof made at the time and in the form and manner required
by law; and
BE IT FURTH4? RESOLV��D that the'proposition set forth in said
Ordinance No. 107 and voted upon at said election was;
Shall Municipal Improvement District No. 1 incur
a bonded indebtednese of Eight Thousa,nd Tv�ro Hunflred
Q�8,200.00) Dollars for the prupose of acauiring by
the City of Lynwood, for the benefit of eaid district,
the existing well and water system, together with the
operative property both real �nd pereonal now used in
connection therev<<ith, now oper�,ted end being known as
the Palomar Psrk water syetem, including therein the
well of �aid'company and the lot of land upon which
the same is situated.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from said returns it appears a,nd
this Board of Truatees, or City Council „ finds that the whole nwnber of
votes c�,st in sa,id District in sa.id City of Lynwood a.t said election
was 40; that the total numver of votes cast in Conaolidated Precinct No.
1(which comprised the Pa,lomar Park Di�strict 'Incorporated' in said City)
was 40; that

the number�of votes cast in sa,id district in said city for said propos-
� ition was 40; that there were no votes cast in said:.city and :�recinct

' BE IT FURTHER RESOLUVcD that the votes of more than two-thirds
of all the votera voting at said election were cast in favor of the `�
adoption of said proposition,-and said.proposition ie hereby declardd to
be ca.rried and the Board of Trustees, or City Council, of said City is
� authorized to issue bonde.the�efor as provided by law; and � •�
BE IT FUFiTHER RESOLVED that the votes of inore than two-thirds
of all the voters.voting at sa,id election were in fa.vor of the adoption
of said proposition,`and s;:id proposition is hereby declared to be car-
ried and the Board of Trustees, or City Council, of said City is authori-
zed to issue.bonds thereYor as provided by law.
