CALL TO ORDER
The Council "Brown Bag" Work Session of April 16, 2004, was convened at 12:00 P.M. by
Mayor John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Angle, Ferguson, Olsen, Viessman, Vogel, and Weber. Councilmen -
Elect Brown, Crane, Harvey, Martin, and Patterson were also present
Absent: Berry, Gordon, Groner, and Klindt
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Items were not necessarily discussed in order that they appeared on the agenda.
Public Hearings: Some Council Members asked if it would be possible to vote on each bill
after its respective hearing. The Mayor agreed that would be a good idea, and he would
handle explaining that at the meeting. City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus suggested that if
they do that, they may wish to change the agenda to do that at every meeting so there is
some consistency established for the public hearing process.
Mayor's Announcements: Councilman Cliff Olsen asked if it would be better to move the
awarding of plaques to outgoing Council Members toward the bottom of the agenda in case
some councilmen want to make farewell remarks. Mayor John Landwehr asked City Clerk
Phyllis Powell to prepare an amended agenda to reflect that, and that agenda will be
distributed at the Monday night pre- meeting.
No official actions were taken since this was a work session only.
The meeting adjourned at 12:17 P.M.
