HomeMy Public PortalAbout577 (10-16-28) ' ��'�"_.i']. +� .�' ...i - RESOLUTION N0.577 " Regarding the proper�onversation and use of water. � WHEREAS; The proper conservation and use of water, which is the most valuable natural resource of the state is one of the moat -' important problems now before the people, and 9PHEREAS; The Legislature at its last �ession by an almost unanimous vote aclopted an amend�nent to the Constitution of the � State, commonly called "Tho Water Amendment", which will appear on - .�-- the b�,11ot at the November el.ection as Numbar 7� and 90HERFAS; 9Je believe the adoption of this amendment is a step in the righY, direction as it will tend i:o make possible the con- servation and storage for beneficial use of the millions of aare feet of waT,er coming from.winter storms and melting snow wh3eh now flows unused into the ocea,n, a.nd will aid in the building of dams and reservoirs £ar flood protection, irrigation, navigation and .dometitic use, therefore be it RESOLVED; T.hat w�, the �?���-� �y� m�-� do hereby indorse tYie said amendmen and ask all those having the best interests of California at heart to support and vote for it at the next election.
