Survsyor of the County of I,os AngElss, was, on the 16th day of b�ay,
-1927, appointed and directed to prepare and.furnish Specifications �.
for certain proposed acqui.sitions and improvements of �TL�li�FTIC l�UEIdUE
i:ciD OZIUE STREET and portions of said streets to be acquired and im-
proved lie within the boundaries of the City of Lynvaood; and
Zq1�REAS, the Board of Supervisors� did, on the 11tYi day of 3spt-
ember, 1928, approve said Specifications so prepared; and
5"IiERE11S, the said Board of Supervisors did, on the 20th day
of Tdovember, 1928, approve.amended for certain acqui-

pared by the said J. E. Rockhold, and said Board did request the con-
sent a�' this City Council to tne accuisition and improvement of those
portior.s of said streets proposed to be acquired and inproved which
lie within, and to the inclusion in ths proposEd assessment district
of' that portion of said. asssssment district lying,buithin the boundaries
' ot said City o� Lynwood; ana

of I,ynwood:
l. That the public interost and necessity require the.widening,
improvernent of and work upon ATLAi�TTIC AV�PNE from Tweedy Road south-
erly to Olive Strset and from Olive Street to the nort?�erly Uoundaries
• of the Gity of Long Beach, and the widenino, improvement 'of and work
upon OZIVF STREET frora Compton and Domin�uez Road easterly to Atlantic
Avenue, all to the extent and in the manner s�t forth in the said
Specifications therefor prepared by J. E. Rockhold, County Surveyor
of the County of I,os Angeles, and aporoved by tho Board of Supervisors
of said County on November,-20, 1928, and no�v on file in the office
of the clerk of said Board of Supervisors, entitled "SPECIFICATIOIdS
. for Acquisition and Improvsment District I�o. 115 of the County o£
Zos Angeles"; a eertified copy of which is aleo on file in the office
of ths clsrk of this City Council;
2. That the coilsent of this�City Council 'is hereby given to
the acquisition and improvement of those portions o£ said ATLANTIC
AVEP!U� and OI,IVr� STREET lying within the boundaries of the City of
Zynwood ir_ the manner set forth in said Specifications, which said
portions are described as follows:
That portion of Zot No. 6 of Downey & Hellman Tract, as shown
on map r.ecorded in Book 3, Page 31 of P.�iscellaneous �teco'rds of Los
Angsles County, and those portions of Lots A arid 16, Tract Tdo: 5103,
as shown on map recorded in Book 53, page 55 of P:Iaps, recor3s o£ said
County, within th'e follotiving descrihed boundaries: '
Beginning at the intersection of the westerly lino of Atlantic
Avenue, described in deed to :the County of Zos Angeles, recorded in
Book 3539, page 226 o'f Official Rscords of said county, with.the
southerly line of Tweedy and �bbott Road (6b.50 feet wide) as shovan
on map of Tract No. 7797, recorded in Book 114, pages 85 and 86 of
• I�aps, recot3s of said county; thence southerly along said westerly
' line to"the northerly .line.of Norton Avenue (50 feet wide) as sho�vn
