CALL TO ORDER
The Council "Pre- Meeting" Work Session of May 17, 2004, was convened at 5:45 p.m. by
Mayor John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Berry, Brown, Crane, Harvey, Martin, Patterson, Viessman, Vogel, and
Weber
Absent: Ferguson
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
New Business
Councilman Kevin Brown stated he will have a couple of things to bring up, pertaining to
Hwy. 50 east Jersey barriers, and discussing inviting a guest to come make a presentation
about how fuel prices are set in Jefferson City.
Bidding Procedures Ad Hoc Committee
Mayor John Landwehr asked Councilman Dean Martin to work with an ad hoc group of the
Pubic Works & Planning Committee to follow -up on work which had begun with the
outgoing Council concerning bidding procedures and policies. He asked City Clerk Phyllis
Powell to place the issue on the Council meeting agenda 90 days from now to get a report.
The committee members will be appointed and announced later.
Council Rules Ad Hoc Committee
Councilman Brian Crane and Councilman Kevin Brown stated they would be willing to serve
on an ad hoc committee to study the Council rules. City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus stated
he would also like to serve on that committee. The committee members will be appointed
and announced later.
No official actions were taken as this was a work session only.
