The meeting of the Town Council was held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock,
February 15, 1950 at the Gulf Stream Golf Club.
Present were Mr. L. Seton Lindsay, Mayor, and Mr. Wm. T. Jebb, Jr.,Vice- Mayor,
Mr. Wm. J. Bauerp Town Clerk and Tax Collector.
The meeting of the Town Council scheduled for Wednesday, February 8th,
was adjourned because of the absence due to illness of Mr. William Bauer.
The minutes of the meeting held on January 4, 1950 were read and approved.
The following bills which had been paid since the meeting held on January 4,
were approved:

After much discussion about the speed limit in the city, it was resolved,
proposed, and seconded that the present limit be left at 25 miles per hour.
A motion was proposed, seconded, and carried that the wage rate,. per hour
for Robert L. Pollack, who collects the garbage, shall be raised from 90¢
to $1.00 per hour, which is the rate he receives in the furniture factory.
The insurance policy covering the truck and Pontiac owned by the Town
was approved with the exception that the collision clause be cancelled -
which insurance expires March 6, 1951.
Upon motion made by Mayor L. Seton Lindsay, seconded by Vice mayor William
T. Jebb Jr., it was resolved that Harry Purdom be paid at a rate not to
exceed J15.06 per month after the matter has been cleared with General
Carter of the Gulf Stream Golf Club.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was adjourned.
