Bills Introduced:
2004 -16 - Councilman Michael Berry announced he will abstain on this bill due to conflict of
interest. He stated that Jefferson Asphalt is one of his clients.
Informal Calendar:
Bill 2004 -11 - City Administrator Rich Mays suggested that the Council pass the new
substitute bill which was being distributed by City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus because the
citizen who brought this to the attention of the city in the first place has now been waiting about
six months for a resolution to the issue. Mr. Nickolaus explained that the substitute #3 will go
back to the original intent of this bill which will prohibit parking trailers on streets. Councilman
Edith Vogel stated that the Police had some concerns with the other proposed substitute
versions of this bill, and she would vote to pass the new substitute, but she suggested that
perhaps in the future some of the other parking problems in the city can be worked out to the
satisfaction of both staff and citizens.
No official actions were taken since this was a work session only.
