That the.public.interest and convenience require, and it is
' the intention of the Board of Trustees o� the City o� I,ynvrood to., .
order the following improvements to be made in said City, to-�rrit:
FIRST: That all of tne roadways of Palm_Avenue and El�clid
Avenua in said City, �om the easterly line of Long Beach Boulevard
to the sasterly boundary line o3 the City o3 Zynwood, bo graded and
paved to the ofYicial line and grade with an oil macadam pavement
• four (4) inches in thickness, in accordance with Plan TZo. 344, and
� in further accordance.with Specifications No. 5 for street paving
with oil macadam pavement in the City oi Lynwood.
SECOT_�D: That a cement curb designated as Class "B" curb
descri ed in the hereinafter referred to specifications be c.onstructod
along both lines of the roadways oY Palm Avenue and Blzclid Avenue
fror� the easterly line of Long Beach Boulevard to the eastarly bound-
ary line of the City of Zy�nwood:
The construction of said curbs shall-include full returns at .
_ all street and alley intsrsections bet�veen the limits herein des-
crib.ed, omitting, however, such portions o�.said streets upon vrhich
a cement curb oY the elass hereinbefore referred to has already been
constructed and now exists to the official line and grade.
THIRD: That a cement.side�valk four �.(�4) feet in tividth be.con-
structed along each side of Palm Avonue and i'uclid Avenue from the
easterly line oY Zon� Beach Boulevard to the easterly boundary line .

Excepting that said sidewalks shall be omitted upon sueh por-
tions of said streets upon which a cement sidewalk four (4) feet or
more in widtYi has,already been constructed and now exists to the
of3icial line and grade.
FOURTH: That a cement o tter one (1) foot in �vidth and five
(5) inches in thickness be constTUCted along both side lines oP the
roadways of Palm Avenue and �clid �lvenue, from the easterly line
�of I,ong Beach Boulevard to the easterly boundary line of the•City
oY I,yntivood.
FIFTH: Al1 of said sidewalk, eurb and gutter herein referred
to shalTFie constructed in accordance with Plan No. 344, and in
further accordance with Specifications �o. 1 for tha construction
of cemerit curbs in the City of Lynwood, Specifications�No: 2 for �
the construction o£ cement sid.ewalks in tne City of T,yn�vood and
SpeciYications IJo. 3 for the construction of cement gutters in the
City of Zynwood.
SIXTH: That said contemplated work oY improvement in the
opinion of said Board oY Trustees is oY.more than local or ordinary
" � public benefi�t and will affect and benefit the lands and district
hereinafter ciescribed, and said Board of Tru.stees_hereby doclares
that the dist�rict in said City oF Lynwood benefited by said work
of improvement and to be assesssd to pay the costs and expenses

, Boulevard 160 feet southerly £rom the southerly line of Luclid
Avenue; thence northerly along said westerly line of Zong Beach
Boulevard to a point situated 160 feet northerly from-th.e northerly
Tine oY Palm Avenue; thence easterly along a line dratvn 160 feet
� nontnerly from and parallel with•the northerly line of Yalm �venue
to the easterly boundary line of the City o£�I,ynv��od; thence
southerly along said easterly boundary line of the City of Zynwood

EXC�PTING therefrom any portiom of any public streets, avenues,
,, boulevards or alleys which may included within the above described
boundary line. .' :
This deseription is general only. Reference,is hsreby made
� Plan IJo. 344, in which the assessment district referred to is •
shown within red colored bordsr lines. "
EIGHTH: Notice is hsreby given that serial bonds to rep"reserit
' unpaid"assessment for the expense of said proposed.work of improve- •
ment,.which bonds shall bear interest at ths rate of seven (7) per
cent per annum, will.be issued.hereunder in'the manner provided by •
the "Improvement Bond"Act of 1915", the last installment of which
. bonds shaTl mature nine years from the seeond day of July'next �
succeeding nine months from their date.
All of the herein proposed worl�, except as hereinabove stated,
shall be done in pnrsuance of an act oY the I,egislature of the State
of CaliYornia designated as:the "Improvement Act.of 1911", approved
April 7th, 1911,.and the amendments thereto.
RTINTH: All plans referred to herein are on file in tYie `offiee
' of the � En,,ineer oY said City. All specifications referred to
`. herein are on file.in the office.of,the City Clerk of said City.
Said plans and specifications are hereby referred to for a more
particular description of said u�.�ork�and'made a'part hereof.
TENTFL°. ihe City Engineer is directed to malte a diagram of the
proper�.afYectod or beneYited'by the proposed work of improvement
as described herein and to be assessed.to pay.the expenses thereof.
Such diagram shall�show each separate lot, piece or parcel of land,
the area in square feet iri each of said lots,.pieces or parcels.of
land,..the relative location of the same to the work proposed to be
. done, all within the limits of the assessment district.`
�EV�1TH: Notice is hereby given that the 14th day of Februarg
1923, �he honr of 8:00 o'clock P.�BL o� said day, at tho.Council
Chamber of tha Board of Trustees of the City of I,,ynwood is hereby ,
fixed and designated as the day, hour and place when and where any .
and all persons having any objections to the proposed work of im-
provement herein designated, may appsar before said Board of Trus-
tees and show cause, if any they have, why said improvements should
not be carried out in accordance with the provisions of this Reso-
lu'tion _of. Int,sntion. . '
TPJEI,I'TH:. The Superintondent of. Streets o£ said City shall
post no iees of said improvement as rsquired by 1aw. ,The Board of
Trustees does not de� it advisatile that the C1erk be required to
mail copies of the notice of improvoment to the ownors or reputed
- owners, and the said City sha11 not be,required to mail any copie
. of said notice whatsoever. . .
The City Clerk shall certi£y to the passage of this Resolution
oY Intention and cause same.to be printed and posted in three (3)
public places in the City of I,ynwood, viz:
One copy upon the bulletin board at the entrance to the office"
of the Board oY Trustees of said City at 205 �Vest n�Iulfor.d Avenue.

One copy upon the bulletin board at the PaciYic Electric
Railwag Station, known as Lynwood Station, at the interseetion of
Long Boach Boulevard and Fernwood �lvenue in said City, and
One copy upon the bulletin board.at the northvaest corner of
T�Sulford Avenue and. Lon� Beach Boulevard in said City and thereupon
and thereafter this Resolution shall be in full force and effect.
