4Vhereas the City Clerk of the Board of Trusteea of
the Citp of Lyn�voocl,County of Los Angeles,State of California,
has heretofore submitted to this legislative body,the petition
for recall of the Trustee,Gus�av PJ,F.ehfeld,which said petition
is certified to as sufficient ancl correct by said City Clerk.
�Nhereas no regular rrnmicipal election is to occur rrithin
, sixty days from the date hereof,and
Vihereas by the laws of the State of California it is norr
the duty of this legislative body to forth�vith cause a special
election to be hald within not less than 35 nor more than 4C
days after the date of the order calling such electioiz,to :
determine whether the voters will recall such officeY�:;
N014 THEREFORE BF IT HEHEBY RESOLVID that this Board of
Trustees of the City of Lyni�rood,County of Los Angeles,Statc
of Californ3a ,does hereby resolve that such special election
shall be held on the /+,;�,�day of�fv2f� 1923,and does hereby
call said special election for sa�d dsiy,and that this legis-
, ''� lativ� body cause sv.ch special election to be held on said
date to determine whether the co'ters will recall such officer,
and
BE IT F�JRT.HE:R RSSOLVF� that the proper officers and
officials forthwitn call such election and take all proper
and necccssary steps for the calling thereof and £or the
holding thereof;that in prenaring the sample ballot in re-
gard to said election,there��shall be printed thereon in
accordance with the law in not more than 200 words the
�ea�onfse�eflorth in the recall petition which demanded the
recall of su.ch officer,and upon the sAme ballot in not more
than 200 words the said officer may �uatif.g his course in -
offiee.5aid ballot shall be furLher prepared in the manner
and in accordance rvith the ls�ws vrhich provi_de for the recall
of elective officers of incorporated cities and towns.�
