, THAT 1i�HFRr�AS, the Board of Trustees of the City of Zynv✓ood,
having in'open session on the 2lst day of P�far.ch, 1923, opened,
examined and publicly deelared all sealed proposals or bids for
performing the followirig work of improvement in said City, to-wit:
•: First: TYiat all of the roadway of Josephine.Strc�et from the �
�r�esterly boundary line of the �City of I,ynvrood to the west Iine of
:. Zong Beach Boulevard, be graded and paved to the oificial line and
�grade with oil macadam pavement £our (4) inches in thickness, in .
accordar.ce with Plan ITo. 345, and in further accordance �vith Speci-
fieations,PTo. 5 for,street pavin� ��ith,oil macadam pavement in the
° � City of Lymvood.
Second: that a eement curb designated as C1ass "B" curb des-
cribed in the hereinafter reierred to specifications be eonstructed
�,lorig botri lines of the roadway of Josephine Street from.the westerly .
boundary line of the City of Lynwood to the westerly line of.Long
. Beach Boulevard.
. The construction of said curb shall inelude full returns at all
street and alley intersections bet��reen the limits herein described,
omitting, however, such portion of said streets upon which a,cement
"" curb of the cl'ass hereinbefore referred-to has alroady'been con= - -
structed and now exists to the official liile and grade.
Third: lhat a cement sidewalk four (4) feet.in width be con-
structed along each side o� Josephine Street from'the westerly boun-
dary line of the City of Zynwood to the westerly line 'of I,ong �each
Boulevard. '
'� Fxcepting that eaid sidewalk shall be omitted upon such portions '
of said street upon vrhich a cement sidewalk four (4) feet more in
width, has been constructed and now sxists to the off'icial.li.ne and
grade. ,
The construction of said sidewalks shall include full returns
at all street intersections b.etween the limits herein described.
� Fourth: That�acement gutter ono (1) foot in width and five (5)
inches in thickr.ess, be constructed alorig both �ide lir.es of the'
- road�vay of Josephine Street from the westerly boundary line of the
City of I,ynwood to the v�;esterly line of Long P,each.Boulevard.
, � The'construction of said gutters shall include full cross
gutters and �ving gutters at all intersectiors of streets and alleys
between the limits herein described, as;shown on the pland herein-
after mentioned.
' Eif.th:.- A11 of.said sidewalk, curb-and o tter.herein referred to
shall be constructed in accordance with Plan P;o. 345, and'in furthor
accordance with Specifications No. 1 for the construction of eement
curbs in the City of Zynwood, Specifications PIo. 2 for the construction
of cemont sidewal}cs in the City o£ Lynwood and Specifications Ivo. 3
for.the construction of cement gutters'in the City of Lynwood.
Sixth: P;otice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent
" unpaid assessments for the expense of said. proposed �vorlc of improve-
ment, which bonds shall bear interest at tYie rate of,seven (7) per
cent per annum, will be issued hereunder in the raannor provided by
the "Improvement Bond �1ct of 1915", the:last installment of which
bonds shall mature nine years from the socond day or July next
� succeedin� nine mor_ths from their date.

All of the herei�i proposed work, 'oxcept as hereinabove stated,
shall be done in pursua:nce of an act of the Legislature of the State
of California.dosignated as th8 `!Improvement-Act of;1911"_, apgroved
April 7th; 1911, and the.amendments thereto. ,
Reference being made to Resolution o� Intention iGo. 58 fot

� • The Gity Clerlt of.the City of Zynwood is hereby directed to
. post conspicuously for five (5) days on or near tiie Chamber -Door
of the Board of Trustees, in the manner and foi�n required by law,
: a printed`notice of this a�vard; also to post a copy of said notice
upon the bulletin board at tke Pacific Electric Railway Station,�.
� known.as Zyziwood Station, at the intersection of I,ong $each Boule-
vard and Fernwood llvenue in said City, and also one copy upon
the bulletin�board at the northwest corner of Mulford Ayenue and
Long 3each Boulevard in said City.
The Clerk shall:certify to the passage this;_Resolu-
tion and thereupon and thereafter the same sha11 be in Yu11 force
and effect.
