The meeting of the Town Council was held Wednesday morning at
9 o'clock Npvtmb¢r 8, 1950, at the Gulf Stream Golf Club.
Present were Mr. L. Seton Lindsay, Mayor, Mr. William T. Jebb,
Vice - Mayor, and Mr. Wm. J. Bauer, Town Clerk and Tax Collector.
The minutes of the meeting held Ogtober II, 1950 were read and
approved.
After discussing the matter it was decided that cold patch would
be used to repair some of the holes in the city streets. Police
Officer Cooper was instructed to purchase cold patch for this
work in the amount of one ton including oil and patch for the
sum of $14.00 and to contact Mr. Tuft with Bessemer Properties
with the view of storing same on their property.
Mr. Bauer, Town Clerk had written to the Road Department at
Ff. Lauderdale with regard to resurfacing AIA. He was instructed
to write another letter following up this one stating that the
town council and Mayor feels that they should continue to re-
surface AIA up to the northern limit of Gulf Stream when they
resurface it through Delray.
The question of passing resolution as requested by the Board
of County Commissioners to exclude sightseeing, commercial
busses, and heavy trucks over State Road AIA was again taken
up. Resolution was read and approved and passed for the first
time as per copy attached;
The question of employing either on a hourly basis or so much
per month of a bookkeeper to take over the work of making out
water bills, drawing checks, and most of the clerical work that
Mr. Bauer has been doing, was taken up and resolution was passed
approving employment of someone to do this work - the terms
of employment to be Left to the Mayor and Town Clerk subject
to approval at next meeting.
All payments made to date as per attached list were approved.
