Seto - Lindsay Vim. T. Jebb '*i. J. Bauer U7on moti'n by Ma.vor Lindsay, seconded and approved by Commissioners Jebb and Bauer, it was voted to increase the salary of Police Officer li.W/ Cooper to 6'225.00 per month as of April Ist,1949. Mayor Lindsay explained to the meetinT that the m ?tter of - ran *ing franchise to the Gulf Stream Water'�ompary had been turned down and matter -.cropped as a proper agreement could not be reached. Mayor Lindsay said that in place of a Frenchise the Gulf Stream Golf Club are willing; to make a contract with the Town of Gulf Stream to supply the Town with unchlorinated water at 12 cents per thousand gallons on a wholesale basis. The Town to chlorinate its water and retail to inhabitants. The Mavor went, on to submit contract drawn by Clubs Lawyer, pointin -)ut that paragraph two in his opinion needed some clarification and paragraph six should contain a statement with regard to quality of water to be sup -liei or else an escape clause to be ddded to the contract so thnt :ikx should the water be unsuitable, even after chlorination,etc., then the contract could be abrpgated. -� aye�hu.J The I "ayor then made a motion that the couneil approve the grreral principals contained in the contract subject to clarification of paragraph two and some supplement to paragraph six alloying for cancellation of contract should the water soli the town become unsuitable to the Board of Health after it has been chlorinated. The Mayor then suggesteed that after the contract has been reviewed and approved by the Council for the Town, that the c,Dntract may then be executed by the Mayor an-I Tontn Clerk jointly. The Mayor then submitted a contract from the City of Boynton Beach to furnish the Town of Gulf Stream with Fire protection. All Commissioners were in favor and so voted. 1 motion was made, seconded and carried that pro ,iding water contract is finally executed, the r-te for7g titer to the consumer should be 20 cents per thousand gallons with a minumum month]y charge of "?.On the amount used in anv month is less than 15,000 gallons, furthermore that there be a mnnthly service charge of .`1.00 to cover reading; of minutes, etc. �y fj�y t rl C o t .� i
