WHFREAS, pursuant to statute, notice of filing list of unpaid
assessments were. duly given in the manner and.form required by Taw,
that the warrant, assessment and diagram recorded on the llth day
of July, 1923, for the work and improvement made by i�J. E._Hall,,
under that certain contract awarded to him on the 21st day of March,
1923, for the improvement of certain portions of Alma �venue,
Elizabeth Avenue,.Ilorton �venue (so�etimes kno�vn as the Dov�ney�and
Zos Angeles Road), North I,os Florss Boulevard, Elmwood Avenue and
• Sessions Street in the �ity of Lynwood, California; and that sai'd
warrant, assessmsnt and.diagram alere returned to the Street �uper-
intendent of said City, and that tYie rsturn was recorded by him on
ths 16th day of Tuly, 1923; and after the full expiration of thirty,i
(30) days £rom the dste of the recording of'said warrant tho said, ,
Street Superintendent duly made and £iled with the City Clerk of
� said �ity of Zynwood, a eomplete list of all assessments unpaid
upon said assessment, which list is now on file in the office of .
the City C1Erk of ,said City: Upon evidence sho�vn this Board deter-
i mines that-the assessmeuts thereon mentioned were then unpai,d,,the
total aggregate thereof being the sum of .�46,623.63, and that assess- �
ments riumbered 4, 7, 9, 25, 29, 30, 55, 56, 65, 119, 131, 132, 153,
� 156, 157, 163, 165, 167, 168, 172, 1`75, 177, 184 and 188, aggre-,
gating �6,772.72, and no otliers, havo since boen paid,`and that there
now remains unpaid the sum of �p39,910.91, upon .the assessments
sho�vn upon said list, otfier than those riereinabove last noted as
having been paid.
Reference,is hereby made to Resolution of Intontion No. 57
of the Board of Trustees of the City of i,ymvood, passed tne 17th
day of January, 1923, for a complete description of.the work herein
mentiored.
AIdD WHER�AS, interested persons were notified in the manner
required by law to appear before.the Board of Trustees.of th.e sa.id
City of Lyntvood, California, in the Council Chamber thereof at the
hour of 8;00 o!clock P. M. of 4Vednesday,, the 19th.day of September,
1923, and show cause why bonds should not bs issued upon tne security,
of the unpaid assessments shown on said Street Superiiitondent!,s
list; and
P�IiEREAS,-°notice was duly given in the manner- and f`orm .required "
by law that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments and bear
interest at tlie rate of seven per cent per annum, v�ill bo issued
hereunder in the manner provided in the "Improvement Bond �ct o�
1915" the last installment of vrhich bonds shall mature nine years
from the 2nd day o? July next succeeding nine months from their date;�
And all interosted persons having appeared before this Board -
of Trustees and having been given full opportunity to show cause
why bonds should not be issued upon tYie;security of the unpaid
• ' assessments shov✓n on said list, and all objections presented
having been heard and considered, .

' N019, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board,of Trustees does hsreby
find and determine that no cause nas been shown why bonds should
not be issued upon the security o£ said unpaid assessments and
does hereby overrule all objections thereto,.and does hereby di=
rect the issuance of said bonds; and further,
BE',IT RESOZVED, as follows: That bonds shall be issued upon
the security of the said unpaid assessments to said amount of
Sy39 , 5310. 91.
The said bonds shall be 110 in number, shall be date3 Sept-
� ember"19th, 1923, and bear intersst from August 20th, 1923, at the
rate of seven per cent per annum, and the denominations of said
bond and the datss o£ the respective maturities thereof, shall be
as follows:

� BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the signature of the Treasurer of
sasd City upon the coupons attached to the said bonds shall be a litho-
graphed signature in plaee o� a signature by hand; and
BE IT ALSO FURTHER RESOI,VED that sealed proposals for the pur-
ehase of said bonds will be received up to the 3rd day of October,
, 1923, at 5:00 o'elock P..T4., whereupon said bonds will be sold to
the highest bidder therefor, but for not less thari par and accrued
. interest.
`i'he City Clerk is hereby directed to advsrtise for bids there-
, for, by publishing a notice once a week for two (2) weeks in the
I,ynwood Tribune, a weekly nespaper of general circulation published
and circulated in the City of Lymvood, California.,
I HEREBY CERTIFY that tho Resolution was duly and ,
regularly passed by the Board oi Trustees of the City of Lynwood at
a regular meeting of said Boar.d, held on the 19th day of Septembor,
1923.
