- SECTIOn l:, Th'at tho improvement herein described is roquired
by the public interest and convenience, and tho Board of Trustees.
of the City of I,ynwood having at time set forth in Resolution
of Intention ivo. 127 received no protosts or objections against
said vJOrk of improvement or a.gainst the extent of the district to
be assessed for said work of improvement as set forth in Resolu-
tion of Intention IJO. 127, does hereby.order the work of improve-
ment as contemplated.in said Resolution of Intention PTo. 127, to-x�it:
First: That the following described streets in said City be'
graded and paved with an oil macadam pavemsnt four (4) inches in
thickness, and have constructed along the same, cement curbs desig-
nated as Class "B" curb described in the hereinafter referred to
specifications, cement sidewalks four (4) feet in �vidth, and cement
guttors five (5) inches in thickness. The above cement curbs and
sidewaTks to be omitted on such portions of said streets on which
a coment curb of the class above described, or a sidewalk four (4)
- foet or more in width has already been constructed and now exists
to the official grade hereinafter referred to, viz:
Lynwood Road, from the westerly boundary line of the City of
' Lynwood to the westerly,lino oY Long Boach Boulevard. .
Zouise Streot from the westerly boundary line of the City of
Zynwood to the vvesterly line of Long Beach Boulevard, from the
easterly line of I,ong Beach Boulevard to the westerly line of
School Street, and from a line drawn 40.00 feet easterly from and
parallol with the westerly line of Lots 1376 and 1393 of Tract
TIo. 3389, as per map recorded in Book 37, Page 33, o£ �'faps, Records -
of I,os Angeles County, California to the easterly boundary line
of the City of Lynwood:
California Street from Josophine Stre�t to Zync�iood Road.
Second: That Josephine Stroet from Long Beach Boulevard to
Sch.00l Stroet be graded and oiled and have constructed along the
same, cement curbs of the class designated as Class °B" curb des-
cribed in the hereinafter referred to specifications, cement side-
�vallts four (4) feet in width, and cement gutters five (5) inches
in thickness, the above cement curbs and sidewalks to bo omitted
on such portions of said street on which a cement curb of the
. class above described or a sidewalk four (4) feet or.more in �vidth
has alreac�p been constructed and riow exists to the official grads
hereinafter referred to.
Third: All of the fore�oing work is fully set forth, de-
lineated and described on Plan No. 387, Sheets 1 and 2, on file in
ths office of the City Engineer of said City, and Specifications
Ido. 1 i'or the construction of ceri�nt curbs in tho City o£ I,ynwood� .
Sgecifications No. 2 for the construction of cement sidewalks in '
the City of I,ynwood, Specifications No. 3 for the construction of
cement gutters in the City;of Lynwood, and Specifications I�o. 4
for� the gradirig and oiling of' streets and avenues in the City of
Zynwood, and Specifications No. 5 for street paving with oil �acadam
pavement in the City of Zynwood, on file in the office of the City
Clerk o� said City. Said plane and specifications are hereby re-,

,. ferred to for the full and detailed description of the said proposed
work or improvement and made a part hereof.
Fourth: The-grado to which the.work shall be done and the�
improvement made �vhich are provided for in this Resolution shall.be
the official grade which has heretofore been formally established
by this Board of Trustees. . .-. .. '
The expense of said work or improvement is by rosolution oF
intention T1o. 127 made chargeable upon a district which said dis-
trict is described in and by the said resolution and is shown on
Plan No. 387;•�Sheets 1 and 2, on.file in the office of the City
Engineer. ; . • .,
Bonds wi1T be issued as.providsd for in said Resolution of
Intention No. 127.

S�CTION 2: The 'TZynwood Tribune", a weekly newspaper of
general circulation, published and circulated in said City of
Lynwood,-is hereby designatod as the riewspaper in cvhich the notice
of said work inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing'said work
_ of improvement shall be published in the manner and by the persons
• required by law. � • .
, SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of I,ynwood is hereby
directed to post conspicuously for five (5) days on or near the
Chamber poor, of the Board of lrustees, iri the manner and form
. required by law, a notice, with spocifications, inviting soaled
proposals or bids for doing said work; and said City is
hereby directed to publish twice in said newspaper hereby desig-
_, nated for that purpose as afor�esaid, in the..manner,and in the form � .
required by,law, a notice of said work oS-improvernent inviting .,
' sealed proposals .or bids for doing said work o£ improvement, and
referring to the specifications posted or on file.`
SECTION 4:, Said notice shall require all proposals or bids '
offered to be accompanied by a certifiod cheok or bon,d, eithor, �
as proscribed by law, and payable to the City of Lynwood, for an ,
amount not less than ten (10) per cent of the aggregate of said
proposal.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED THIS lOth day of Oetober, 1923.
