CALL TO ORDER

The Council "Pre- Meeting" Work Session of November 1, 2004, was convened at 5:45 P.M.
by Mayor John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Berry, Brown, Crane, Ferguson, Harvey, Martin, Schnitzler, Viessman,
and Vogel
Absent: None
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Items were not necessarily discussed in order that they appeared on the agenda.
Mayor John Landwehr announced the dates of the upcoming public hearings for the Katy Trail
annexation issue, and urged members of the Annexation Committee to attend if at all possible.
He stated he would also be good if other Council Members could attend, as well as city staff.
Closed Session
City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus announced that a personnel issue has just been brought to
his attention today which needed to be discussed in the closed session as well as the
previously - posted legal action issue. He advised the matter qualifies as an "emergency" issue
which can be added to the agenda in less than the 24 -hour notification period as indicated in
the Missouri Sunshine Law. He stated that the Council will need to make a motion to amend
the agenda to include the category of personnel to the closed session at tonight's meeting
before voting to go into closed session.
No official actions were taken since this was a work session only.
The meeting adjourned at 5:55 P.M.
