ATTENDANCE The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened: Present: Berry, Brown, Crane, Harvey, Martin, Schnitzler, and Vogel Absent: Ferguson and Viessman DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS Items were not necessarily discussed in order that they appeared on the agenda. Public Hearings Staff reported that a continuance of this matter has been received by the city. City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus explained that in this situation, the public hearing will need to be "opened" at the meeting Monday night, and then "continued" until a later meeting. The associated bill (2004 -103) will be placed on the Informal Calendar. Consent Agenda Additional information regarding items (e) and (g) was distributed at the meeting. Mayor John Landwehr requested any Council Member who has questions about this additional information to contact staff with their questions before the meeting Monday night. Bills Introduced: 2004 -118: Mayor John Landwehr asked Ms. Glenda Fry, Chairman of the Parks and Recreation Commission, to make a brief oral presentation as staff was distributing copies of Bill and bill summary for 2004 -118. She explained what the bill will accomplish if it is passed by the Council. Mayor John Landwehr asked the Council to think about whether they will want to have some more work sessions on this issue before they vote on it. Bills Pending: COUNCIL WORK SESSION DECEMBER 17, 2004 2 2004 -106: City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus distributed a substitute #2 to this bill and explained the difference in this bill and previous versions. Resolutions RS2004 -13: this resolution and summary was distributed by staff, and the Council requested that the item be added to the agenda. The resolution will recognize the Blair Oaks football championship and members of the coaching staff and team will be present at the meeting Monday night to accept the resolutions. Mayor John Landwehr stated he would like them to appear under "invited guests" on the agenda as well. No official actions were taken since this was a work session only. The meeting adjourned at 12:35 P.M.
