CALL TO ORDER
The Council "Pre- Meeting" Work Session of January 3, 2005, was convened at 5:45 P.M. by
Mayor John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
following Council Members were present:
Present: Berry, Brown, Crane, Ferguson (arrived 5:50), Harvey, Layton, Martin,
Schnitzler, Viessman, and Vogel
Absent: None
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Items were not necessarily discussed in order that they appeared on the agenda.
Amendment of Agenda
Mayor John Landwehr stated that the Consent Agenda section of the agenda needs to be
amended to add approval of City Council Minutes of the August 23, 2004, Special Council
Meeting. He will entertain such a motion in the following regular meeting.
Appointments by the Mayor:
Mayor John Landwehr announced he has spoken with Councilman Cindy Layton about serving
on those committees which outgoing Councilman Bob Weber served on and she has agreed.
Therefore, he will announce tonight her appointment to the Environmental Services Committee
and the Annexation and Growth Committee.
Bill 2004 -116:
Following several questions by Council Members regarding liability issues which may be
associated with this bill, Councilman Kenneth Ferguson stated he would be willing to place it
on the Informal Calendar until those questions can be answered.
Bill 2004 -117:
COUNCIL WORK SESSION JANUARY 3, 2005
Councilman Kevin Brown stated he will be withdrawing this bill.
Bill 2004 -118:
Councilman Edith Vogel stated she will be placing this bill on the Informal Calendar until the
Council can have a Work Session to discuss the issue further.
Bill 2004 -106:
City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus distributed Substitute #2 to this bill at the pre- meeting.
Bills Pending:
2004 -103: Will be placed on the Informal Calendar
No official actions were taken since this was a work session only.
The meeting adjourned at 6:00 P.M.
