Summary of the Wastewater Treatment Plants Activities for the Past Quarter
1 April, 2013 thru 30 June, 2013
Grounds Maintenance
The trash was picked up daily and the grass was cut.
Operations and Process Control
Digesters were filled and decanted from daily. pH samples were collected from the Influent and Effluent on a daily basis.
The press was run 7days a week since may, because of the higher flows. It was run for at least 12 hours each day. The
plant is checked out at least once each day. On weekends it is checked by Richard Harnage and myself. The plant is
running very good and we are still getting low numbers on our tests. The percentages on the sludge cake solids are very
high.
The average Effluent flow for the quarter was .835 MGD
Maintenance
Clarifiers and Digesters were hosed off daily. The UV contact chamber was cleaned daily as well. Buildings were cleaned
and all other equipment is inspected daily. Some springs were replaced on the Press's conveyer and a new air
Compressor was installed. Preventive maintenance is done according to schedule. We are now using a computer
maintenance program to track and report all maintenance.
Laboratory
Lab results outline the fact that the plant is at peak running condition. All test results are well within permit limits.
Microscopic examination shows that there is a healthy variety of organisms within the system.
