CALL TO ORDER
The Council "Brown Bag" Work Session of February 17, 2005, was convened at 12:00 P.M.
by Mayor John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Brown, Layton, Harvey, Martin, and Vogel
Absent: Berry, Crane, Ferguson, Schnitzler, Viessman
A quorum was not present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Items were not necessarily discussed in order that they appeared on the agenda.
Mayor John Landwehr announced that he is circulating a proclamation in support of the
Gonzales family who are currently facing deportation by the U.S. Government. He indicated
he would ask for a motion and approval by the Council to approve the proclamation, and
that there will be persons present at the meeting on Monday night to speak on this issue.
Bill 2004 -141:
A substitute version of this bill was distributed, and the amendments in the substitute
version were explained.
Scheduled Reports:
Councilman Dean Martin will be making a report Monday night on the progress of the
committee looking at the city's bidding procedures and policies. He stated a draft ordinance
will be circulated for council consideration before the committee meets again to finalize the
bill.
There being no other business brought forward, the Mayor declared the meeting adjourned
at 12:30 P.M.
