. Resolution No 260

A Resolution of the Board of Truatees of the Citp of Lyn-
vrood declaring an emergency to exist, and resolving to enter
inta contract for the immediate installation of certain ptunp-
in� equioment. �
The Boar3 of Trustees of the Citv of Lynwood does resolve as follows:
PJhereas, by reason of an emergencp existing in the L Nlunicipal
Flater System caused by the sudden drop of the v+ater level caused apparently
by the earthquake June 29 1925, requiring the irmnediate purchase and instal-
� lation of certain machinery and equipment for the purpose of supplying water
to the residents of the City of Lynwood, and that unless said machinery and
equipment be purchased at once the residents of said Cit.y will not have
vcater for domestic purposes, and there will not be a sufficient supply of
water for the use of the Fire Department in protecting property from fire '
hazards
And Vrhereas, the Board of Trustees has investigated and obtained
orices for equipment needed, and.said prices having been considered fair
and reasonable
Nov� Therefore be it Resolved, tYu�t the Board of Trusteea as author-
ized represantative� of the City of Lynwood, enter into contract for the
immediate installation of the follorring pumping equipment:
One 75 E?' 3 phase 50 cycle 960 HPI:i 440 volt Fairbanks Motor
One 75 HP Cutler-Harrmior Automatic Starter
One i�o 1223-4 Kimball Direct Flow Turbine Pump.
And be it Further Resolved that the President nro tem of said Bom°d
of Trustees be, and he is hereby, authorized to sign contracts for aUove
specified machinery in the name of the City of Lynwood.
