iHAT, I�HFREAS, the .�3oard of Zrustees of the City of I,ynwood
having in open session on the 15th day o� July, 192u, o�,aned, sx-
amined and publicly declared all sealed proposals or bids for per-
forming the follo�ving ivork of improvsment in said City, to-wit:
First: That Burton �venue, between the produced east line of
Zot 29,�3�ock 14, �elle V'ernon Acres, as per map recorded in Book 9,
Page 196 of t.Iaps, Records of Los �.ngeles County; California, and a
line 12,00 feet westerly Yrom and parallel with the east line of -
Belle Tlernon Boulevard, be improved by certain grading and by the
construction of certain cement concrete pavement, and three-quarter
• inch ('4") wrought iron pipe water services and appurtenances.
Second: All of the foregoing wn'rk��is fully set forth, de-
lineated and described on Plan and ProYile lvo. 499, on fils in the
office of the �ity Engineer of said City, and Specifications Tdo. 7
for street paving v✓ith Portland cement concrete pav�ement in the City
of I,ynwood, California, and Specifications I�o. 9 for furnishing and
laying �vater pipes and appurtenances in the City of Lynwood, Cali-
' fornia; on file in the office of' the City Clerk of said �ity. Said
� plans and specifications are heraby referred to for the.full.and de-
tailed description of the said proposed work or improvement and
made a part hereof. • -
Third: The grade to which the work shall be done and improve-
�ments ma e vrhich are provided for in Resolution of Intention No. 254
shall be that shovm on said Plan and Profiie Tdo. 499, adopted there-
- for and on file in tho oPfice of the City Engineer, to whioh said,
Plan and Profile reference is hereby ma.de for a description of such
grade.
SECTION 2: The expense of said v�ork or improvement is by the
said Resolution made chargeable upon a district, which said district
is described in and by the said Resolution and ie shown on Plan P?o.
500, on file in the office of the City Engineer.
SECTION 3: Bonds will be issued as providod for in said Reso-
lution of Intention No. 254,
Reference boing made to Resolution of Intention No. 254 for
£urther particulars of said work of improvement.
Iv'Ol'V, THEREFOR�, said Board of Trustees does hereby reject all
of said proposals or bids except the next herein'mentioned, and here-'
by awards the contract for said y�ork and improvement to the lowest
regular responsible bidder, to-wit: to tl�. A. and P. R. Hughes at the
prioes named for said work of improvement in their proposal on file
