CALL TO ORDER
The April 1, 2005, "Brown Bag" Work Session was convened at 12:00 PM by Mayor John
Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Brown, Ferguson, Layton, Harvey, Martin, Viessman, and Vogel
Absent: Berry, Crane, and Schnitzler
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Items were not necessarily discussed in order that they appeared on the agenda.
Correction of agenda:
Mayor John Landwehr announced that the agenda needs to be corrected to add approval
of the March 21, 2005, Closed Session minutes.
Appointments:
Mayor John Landwehr asked City Clerk Phyllis Powell to check with Ms. Bonnie Schroder
to see if any of the appointments listed will be to third terms (or more) and let him know
before Monday night.
Announcements:
Mayor John Landwehr announced that the Missouri Office of Administration has indicated
that the total number of state jobs lost in this region will be approximately 200, and that
resources and economic development will be available to help people who lose their jobs
find other jobs.
Councilman Kevin Brown stated he would like the Council to at least discuss whether a bill
will be sent to the property owner in the recent T &T Pallet fire in North Jefferson City area.
COUNCIL WORK SESSION APRIL 1, 2005
A discussion was held on billboards in the Katy Trail annexation area. Assistant to the City
Administrator Melva Fast and City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus and City Planner Janice
McMillan answered questions asked by Council members.
