Work Session - Call to Order 6:00 PM
A. Roll Call
The City of Tiffin City Council held a work session Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at the City Hall Council
Chambers. Mayor Berner called the meeting to order at 6:02 PM. Upon roll being called the following
members were present: Al Havens, Skylar Limkemann, Chris Olney, Eric Schnedler, Tim Orris. Others
present City Administrator Doug Boldt and City Clerk Abigail Hora.
B. Agenda Additions/Agenda Approval
Motion to approve agenda by Limkemann.
Second by Schnedler.
All ayes, agenda approved.
C. Tour of Current and New Public Works Department
Motion to temporarily adjourn and travel to New PW building by Orris.
Second by Schnedler.
All ayes, meeting temporarily adjourned at 6:01 PM.
Motion to return from temporary adjournment at the New PW building by Schnedler.
Second by Limkemann.
All ayes, motion carried.
Motion to temporarily adjourn and travel back to City Hall by Havens.
Second by Orris.
Motion to return from temporary adjournment at City Hall by Schnedler.

D. Discussion and Direction for Additional Baseball/Softball Fields at City Park Old Soccer Fields
Discussion: Recreation Director Frank Haege and City Administrator Doug Boldt discussed additional
Baseball/Softball Fields at City Park.

6. Discussion and Consideration of FY 2023/2024 Johnson County Law Enforcement Contract and
Council Action as Needed. Motion to approve by Havens.

2. City Council Reports Discussion: Council Person Limkemann would like the council to have a
resolution to encourage EMS as an essential service. He also attended the Iowa League of Cities
conference with Doug Boldt last week.
3. Report - Discussion: Public Works Director Brian Detert reported the
new mower is in and will be picked up sometime this month. He connected with Neumiller
Electric in regards to the fountain on Ponds Court.
4. Building Official Report - Discussion: Building Official Brian Shay reported that he began
footing inspections on Aster Village 3 this week.
5. s Report - Discussion: Recreation Director Frank Haege reported that fall
sports are coming to an end. Winter sports registration are open.

8. City Administrator Discussion: City Administrator Doug Boldt discussed his report.
