SUBJECT: PLANNING COMMISSION ACTIONS -MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 11, 2018 RECOMMENDATION: The City Council is requested to receive and file the Planning Commission (Commission) actions from their meeting of September 11 , 2018 . BACKGROUND: On September 11, 2018, the Commission held their regularly scheduled meeting . ANALYSIS: The following is a summary of actions taken at the September 11, 2018 meeting: 1. ROLL CALL: Present: Absent: Excused: Commissioner-Cordes, Haddad , Vice Chair Lee , Chair O'Leary Commissioner-Marston Commissioner-None 2. CONSENT CALENDAR The Commission approved the minutes from their regular meeting of August 28, 2018 with changes requested to modify the term amortization to sunset provisions. City Council October 02, 2018 Page 2 of 2 3. DISCUSSION ITEM :. A. PARKING ANALYSIS SAT TEMPLE CITY MARKETPLACE The commission received the speaker's presentation and provided input on the parking analysis for the Temple City Marketplace (northwest corner of Rosemead Boulevard and Las Tunas: 8847 & 8905 Las Tunas drive; 8913 Elm Avenue; and 5701-5827 Rosemead Boulevard) 4. PUBLIC HEARING A. SERIES 2 CODE AMENDMENTS 2 CODE AMENDMENTS TITLE 9 (ZONING REGULATIONS), CHAPTER 1 (ZONING CODE) The Commission approved and adopted the resolution recommending that City Council approve the Series 2 Code Amendments. 5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS-None 6 . NEW BUSINESS-None 7. COMMUNICATIONS-None 8. UPDATE FROM THE PLANNING MANAGER Planning Manager Reimers mentioned that the Series 2 Code Amendments have been scheduled to go to council on October 2. 9. ADJOURNMENT The Commission meeting was adjourned at 7:59p.m. CITY STRATEGIC GOALS: Reviewing the Commission actions of September 11, 2018, furthers the City's Strategic Goals of Citizen Education and Communication. FISCAL IMPACT: This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year 2018-19 City Budget.
