HomeMy Public PortalAbout09-10-2015THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, September 10, 2015 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, September 10, 2015, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Tony Foster and Dick Foore. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns, Deputy City Clerk; Sarah Mitchell, City Planner; Ashley Schultz, Assistant City Planner; Bruce Oesterling, City Inspector; Tracy Bosell, Street Commissioner; David Fuller; Steve Terzini, Little Sheba's; and, Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Foore moved to approve the minutes of the September 3, 2015 supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Foster moved to approve the Claims for Payment for September 11, 2015 in the amount of $167,282.02 supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. REQUESTS • STREET CLOSURE REEVESTON NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION — Annual Neighborhood Picnic September 13, 2015 — 5 — 8:00 pm Mr. Foore moved to approve supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. OKTOBERFEST — DEPOT DISTRICT September 26 (rain date of September 27, 2015) — 6 am — 11:00 pm Fort Wayne Avenue from "D" — "E" Street; North 8th Street from "D" — "E" Street; Elm Place — 8- 10th Street; North 9th Street under the bridge; sidewalk from North "D" Street to Fort Wayne to 8th Street. Mr. Foster moved to approve supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 103 -2015 — MILESTONE CONTRACTORS, L.P. Phase 12015 Milling /Paving Project Not to exceed $354,005.75 Mr. Foore moved to approve supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 104 -2015 — ANTHEM BLUE CROSS AND BLUE SHIELD Providing Submission and Payment of Claims for the Fire Department/EMS Mr. Foore moved to approve supported by Mr. Foster.
