RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file the Planning Commission
(Commission) actions from their meeting of November 13 , 2018 .
BACKGROUND:
On November 13, 2018, the Commission held their regularly scheduled meeting .
ANALYSIS :
The following is a summary of actions taken at the November 13, 2018 meeting :
1. ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioner-Cordes , Haddad , Marston , Chair O'Leary
Absent: Commissioner -None
Excused : Commissioner -Vice-Chair Lee
2. CONSENT CALENDAR
The Commission approved the minutes from their regular meeting of October 23 ,
2018 .

3. PUBLIC HEARING
A. REQUEST FOR A ZONING VARIANCE AND ZONING CLEARANCE FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SINGLE-STORY RESIDENTIAL ADDITION. THE
APPLICANT REQUESTS THAT THE CITY ALLOW VARIANCES FOR THE
PROJECT: A FRONT YARD OF 10 FEET INSTEAD OF 20 FEET REQUIRED BY
CODE, AND A ONE-CAR GARAGE INSTEAD OF A TWO-CAR GARAGE
REQUIRED BY CODE.
The Commission approved file PL-1441, adopted the resolution, and found that the
project is exempt from CEQA.
4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS-None
5. NEW BUSINESS-None
6. COMMUNICATIONS-None
7. UPDATE FROM THE PLANNING MANAGER
Planning Manager Reimers stated that the meeting of November 27 has been
cancelled. The next meeting will be held on December 11, 2018. The Commission
will discuss the draft zoning code and comments that were received.
8. ADJOURNMENT
The Commission meeting was adjourned at 8:10p.m.
CITY STRATEGIC GOALS:
Reviewing the Commission actions of November 13, 2018, furthers the City's Strategic
Goal of Citizen Education and Communication.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year 2018-19 City Budget.
