A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER TO WATERLINE
TECHNOLOGIES INC. IN THE AMOUNT NOT-TO-EXCEED $18,000 FOR THE
PURCHASE OF SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE FOR THE REMAINDER OF FISCAL
YEAR 2010-2011
WHEREAS, sodium hypochlorite is used to treat the City's drinking water; and
WHEREAS, the use of sodium hypochlorite is necessary to maintain safe,
drinkable, and quality water that residents have expected for many years; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Lynwood Municipal Code, on April 11, 2011
the City sent out a request for quotations to receive competitive pricing for sodium
hypochlorite.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes staff to issue a purchase order to
Waterline Technologies Inc. to purchase sodium hypochlorite in the amount-not-to
exceed $18,000 for the remainder of fiscal year 2010-2011.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 19 day of April, 2011.
