Attendance Richard Adams, Robin Sterns, Kristine Kennedy, John Deahl, Samantha Claar, Sallie McClelland, Vicki Hammons, Doris Grieder, Ellen Rosenberg III. Volunteer Hours Volunteer hours turned in by Richard, Robin, Kristine, John, Samantha, Sallie, Vicki, Doris and Ellen. That's 100% of those in attendance! IV. Treasurer's Report—Sallie McClelland We have taken in $1,115 in membership dues since the last Board Meeting (hereinafter known as BM) and a whopping $2,225 since the beginning of the year! See the treasurer's report for details on other expenditures, income, etc. Sallie brought up the fact that since the actors agreed to perform an extra weekend of (3) shows which average $700/show, we should give them an extra stipend of $100 each. A motion was made by Richard based on Sallie's idea, seconded by John and approved by all. The $10,000 CD was found in the safety deposit box. It had been transferred into the First National Account in 2010. Sallie took all the paper work from 2009-2012 Ted Lynch so he can now clear up all tax issues and Sallie can clear out her office. Because of our back tax issue, our nonprofit status was revoked but Ted feels certain this will be resolved. V. Secretary's Report—Ellen Rosenberg Ellen ascertained that all board members received and read the minutes from the March meeting. (No lie detector test given.) Ellen made a motion that the minutes be approved, Richard seconded and all approved. VI. Past President's Report—Michael Bodine Michael is obtaining some requested information and will not be present tonight. VII. Membership/Newsletter Chair—Robin Sterns Robin reported that we have 79 paid members, including some couples, which brings the count to about 100. She feels this surge was a result of the newsletter going out. This December, Robin will send out reminders so we have timely renewals. It was suggested by little ole me that perhaps we could have an incentive to pay membership due early. Samantha had the idea that if dues were paid by Nov 15, say, member would get free raffle tickets for a prize. Speaking of incentives, someone should come up with one to encourage the Secretary to get the minutes out faster. VIII. Publicity Chair—Vicki Smith Hammons Vicki reported on the great publicity we got for Til Beth... Artists are getting together to discuss future shows. The meeting will include discussion on how to use money from the Tourism Council for promotions. IX. Theater Chair—Richard Adams Sam and Richard discussed the fact that Cullen is ready to get the wall down, just awaiting approval from city. This will open up space for larger art shows. Blithe Spirit will go on in September. Clean House is still on the table, possibly in November. Kim and Renee will be doing a theater camp during the first two weeks in June. X. Education Chair— Kristine Kennedy Brad had full houses for most of his painting classes. WTG, Brad! Robin and Kristine had success teaching classes with the snowbirds. Good to target the various populations on Tybee. Kristine hopes to make the website more approachable as people use it to plan their vacations. XI. ARTS Coordinator—John Deahl All art shows and chairs and co-chairs are set for the year. Art file drawers discussed AGAIN. Richard said he'd put them up on Craig's List for a week. XII. New Business Samantha suggested sending a letter out to membership and the general community to solicit money for lighting. Richard will research lighting options and Kristine thought there was a possibility of purchasing used lighting from her personal, professional sources. We'll hold off on this letter until we get this info. Mike Moore's proposal for production of Boeing, Boeing was discussed. Sallie motioned to accept Mike's proposal, John & Doris tied to second and it was approved unanimously. XIII. By Laws Chair—Rob Callahan Rob was on the loose somewhere but not present at the meeting. Meeting was adjourned at 7:10 pm
