A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP FOR CERTAIN PARCELS FROM
INSTITUTIONAL (IS) DISTRICT TO CENTRAL BUSINESS (CB) DISTRICT
Whereas the Zoning Map designates certain property which is located on the City block located
between North 11th Street, North 12th Street, North A Street, and North B Street,
containing approximately 2.467 acres and legally described as follows, to wit:
LOTS 244-249 AND 260-265 OF ELIZABETH STARR'S 2ND ADDITION
as an Institutional (IS) District outlined on Exhibit A; and
Whereas it is desirable to change the above -described real estate's zoning designation to a
Central Business (CB) District to allow the Wayne County Historical Society to
develop new construction projects without submittal to the Board of Zoning Appeals
(BZA) for variances, and additionally to allow parking to continue on the side streets.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that
the zoning designation for the above -described property is changed to a Central Business (CB)
District.
Passed and adopted this 7th day of March 2011, by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana.
