CALL TO ORDER
The July 1, 2005, "Brown Bag" Work Session was convened at 12:05 PM by Mayor John
Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Harvey, Martin, and Schnitzler
Absent: Berry, Brown, Crane, Ferguson, Layton, Pope, and Vogel
A quorum was not present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Items were not necessarily discussed in order that they appeared on the agenda.
Mayor John Landwehr thanked staff who have been involved in the planning of the
upcoming Independence Day celebration which will be held over the weekend.
BILLS PENDING:
2005 -22: Councilman Jonathon Schnitzler stated this will be placed on the Informal
Calendar until after the July 7 work session is held to discuss the topic of liquor ordinances.
2005 -27: City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus stated Councilman Jonathon Schnitzlerwill offer
an amendment to the bill.
Finance Director Steve Schlueter will be making a brief presentation on the parking
revenue bond issue which is scheduled to be voted on Tuesday night.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
A public hearing was held regarding the Voluntary Annexation of 215 Acres at 3328 Bennett
Lane known as the Rickman Center, with adjacent right -of -way. Assistant to the City

Administrator Melva Fast made a brief staff presentation outlining the area which this
involves. Following her presentation, no one present requested to speak in favor of, or in
opposition to, the voluntary annexation. Mayor John Landwehr declared the public hearing
concluded.
There being no other business brought forward, the meeting adjourned at 12:25 P.M.
