REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA
DECEMBER 15, 2017
1. CALL TO ORDER
Councilmember Chavez called the Audit Standing Committee meeting to order at
9:02 a.m.
2. ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Councilmember Yu
Councilmember Chavez
ABSENT: None
ALSO PRESENT: City of Temple City:
Bryan Cook, City Manager
Tracey Hause, Administrative Services Director
Lee Ma, Accountant

3. PUBLIC COMMENTS – None
4. CONSENT CALENDAR
A. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The Audit Standing Committee is requested to review and approve the
Minutes of the August 18, 2017 meeting.
Action: Approved
5. NEW BUSINESS
A. Audit Report

Auditors provided a verbal overview of this year’s audit findings and provided
the written report to the Standing Committee.
The standing committee directed staff to review the fiscal year closing
procedures for improvements.
Action: Received verbal and written report.
6. OTHER UPDATES FROM THE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DIRECTOR
Administrative Services Director Hause informed the standing committee that she
will present the following to City Council at upcoming Council meetings: a study on
the OPEB actuary report; a mid-year report presentation comparing the City’s fund
balances – past and present using the fiscal health diagnostic program; and a mid-
year analysis/Comprehensive Annual Financial Report during the first City Council
meeting in February 2018.

The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for February 2018.
