RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file the Parks and Recreation Commission
actions from their meeting of January 16, 2019.
BACKGROUND:
On January 16, 2019, the Parks and Recreation Commission held their regularly
scheduled meeting.
ANALYSIS:
Following is a summary of actions taken at the December 19, 2018 Parks and
Recreation Commission meeting :
1 . ROLL CALL :
Present: Commissioner -Baroldi, Rosso, Vice-Chairman Vance, Chairman
Haddad
Absent: Commissioner -None
Excused: Commissioner -None
2. CONSENT CALENDAR
The Parks and Recreation Commission approved the minutes of the December
19, 2018 meeting and received and filed the Monthly Report for December 2018.

3. NEW BUSINESS
A. REQUEST FROM TEMPLE CITY AMERICAN YOUTH SOCCER
ORGANIZATION (AYSO) FOR RESERVED USE OF THE ATHLETIC
FIELDS AT LIVE OAK PARK FOR ALL-STAR AND SPRING PRACTICES
FEBRUARY 4-JUNE 30, 2019
The Commission reviewed and approved a request from Temple City AYSO
to allow post-season use of the athletic fields for all-star and spring practices
at Live Oak Park from February 4-June 30, 2019.
B. APPROVAL OF COMMITTEE ON AGING MEMBERS
The Commission recommended that the City Council approve the proposed
Committee on Aging members.
4. UPDATE FROM PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR
A. The Commission received the Parks and Recreation Director's Report for the
month of January 2019.
CITY STRATEGIC GOALS:
Reviewing the Commission actions of January 16, 2019 furthers the City's Strategic
Goal of Citizen Education and Communication.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2018-19 City Budget.
