Home My Public Portal About20050729 BB work sessionCOUNCIL WORK SESSION JULY 29, 2005 1 CALL TO ORDER The July 29, 2005, "Brown Bag" Work Session was convened at 12:00 PM by Mayor John Landwehr. ATTENDANCE The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened: Present: Berry, Brown, Ferguson, Harvey, Layton, Schnitzler, and Vogel Absent: Crane, Martin, and Pope A quorum was present. DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS Items were not necessarily discussed in order that they appeared on the agenda. Councilman Kevin Brown asked if it would be possible to get someone from the water company to come and give a status report on the water shortage situations. City Administrator Rich Mays stated he would see if Mr. Cole could attend Monday night. Consent Agenda: Item (b), change order for Route T bore and jack project:: Staff stated that this item needs to be removed from the agenda, and it will be put on the August 15 agenda instead. Informal Calendar: 2005 -22: Councilman Jonathon Schnitzler stated this will come off to be voted on and explained what the substitution #2 will accomplish. Councilman Kenneth Ferguson wanted to know if all the bar owners affected by this were sent copies of the latest versions. A lengthy discussion was held regarding this issue. Mayor John Landwehr asked that the city make sure that the three bar owners uptown and those bar owners that appeared at the July 7 Work Session receive the two substitute bills. Councilman Kevin Brown pointed out that the changed versions of the amendment proposed by Councilman Harvey and Councilman Vogel have never been distributed and asked that the Council receive those this afternoon. COUNCIL WORK SESSION JULY 29, 2005 2 2005 -30: Councilman Jonathon Schnitzlerstated this will also be removed from the Informal Calendar and voted on Monday night. 2005 -38: the Council is planning to vote on this bill unless someone on the Council wants it to remain on the Informal Calendar Monday night. There being no other business brought forward, the meeting adjourned at 12:40 P.M.
