SUBJECT: PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION ACTIONS -MEETING OF
DECEMBER 19, 2018
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file the Parks and Recreation Commission
actions from their meeting of December 19, 2018 .
BACKGROUND:
On December 19, 2018 , the Parks and Recreation Commission held their regu larly
scheduled meeting .
ANALYSIS :
Following is a summary of actions taken at the December 19 , 2018 Parks and
Recreation Commission meeti ng :
1. ROLL CALL :
Present: Commissioner-Baroldi , Vice-Cha irman Vance , Chairman Haddad
Absent: Commissioner-None
Excused : Commissioner-Rosso
2 . CONSENT CALENDAR
The Parks and Recreation Commission approved the minutes of the October 17 ,
2018 meeting and rece ived and filed the Monthly Report for October and
November 2018 .

A. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION FROM TEMPLE CITY AMATEUR
SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION TO HANG SPONSORSHIP BANNERS FOR
THEIR 2019 SEASON AT LIVE OAK PARK
The Commission reviewed and approved a request from Temple City
Amateur Softball Association (TCASA) to hang sponsorship banners for their
2019 regular season on the softball field backstop at Live Oak Park from
February 1, 2019 -May 31, 2019 .
B. UPDATE ON SENIOR MASTER PLAN
The Commission received and filed an update provided by Parks and
Recreation Manager Lawson regarding the recruitment of the Committee on
Aging in relation to the Senior Master Plan .
4. UPDATE FROM PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR
A. The Commission received the Parks and Recreation Director's Report for the
month of December 2018.
CITY STRATEGIC GOALS:
Reviewing the Commission actions of December 19, 2018 furthers the City's Strategic
Goal of Citizen Education and Communication .
FISCAL IMPACT:
This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2018-19 City Budget.
