CALL TO ORDER

The Special Council Meeting of August 29, 2005, was convened at 6:15 P.M. by Mayor
John Landwehr.
ROLL CAL
The following Council Members were present for the roll call:
Present: Berry, Crane, Harvey, Layton, Martin, Pope, and Vogel
Absent: Brown, Ferguson, and Schnitzler
A quorum was declared present.
BILLS PENDING
Bill 2005 -60, sponsored by Councilman Brown, entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, PROVIDING FOR THE
LEVY OF CITY TAXES AND ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF TAXATION FOR THE CITY
OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI FOR THE YEAR 2005.
Bill 2005 -60 was read third time by title and placed on final passage. Following discussion,
a motion was made by Councilman Dean Martin to amend the bill by establishing the
general fund levy at $0.48 on the one hundred dollar valuation, and establishing the
Firemen's Retirement System levy at $.0960 on the one hundred dollar valuation. The
motion to amend was seconded by Councilman Mike Harvey and approved unanimously.
Bill 2005 -60 was then passed, as amended, by the following roll -call vote as Ordinance
13925:
Aye: Berry, Harvey, Layton, Martin, Pope, and Vogel
Nay: Crane

MENT
There being no further business brought before the Council at this time, a motion was made
by Councilman Edith Vogel for adjournment, seconded by Councilman Mike Harvey and
approved unanimously at 6:25 P.M.
