HomeMy Public PortalAbout2015-080 Resolution Ordering Preparation of Feasibility Report Sioux Drive Turn Lane ImprovementsMember Pederson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2015-80 RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF A FEASIBILITY REPORT ON THE SIOUX DRIVE TURN LANE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, it is proposed to improve turn lanes on Sioux Drive between 150 and 500 feet south of Trunk Highway 55 and to assess the benefitted properties for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429; and WHEREAS, the City of Medina has on file executed petition and waiver agreements from the benefitted property owners. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota, as follows: That the proposed improvement, called the Sioux Drive Turn Lane Improvement Project, be referred to the City Engineer for study and that WSB & Associates is instructed to report to the City Council with all convenient speed advising the City Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate the individual assessments for affected parcels.
