A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING
THE CITY OF RICHMOND TO RECEIVE DONATIONS
FOR THE FIRST ANNUAL DREAM KEEPERS DANCE
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond, Indiana, has the option of accepting or rejecting donations for a
specific purpose; and
WHEREAS, the acceptance of a donation for a specific purpose constitutes the appropriation of such
property for the intended purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that the following shall be accepted and gratefully acknowledged by the citizens of Richmond:
From the Richmond Housing Authority, a donation of Five Hundred Dollars and No Cents
($500); from Oberle Inc., a donation of Two Hundred Dollars and No Cents ($200); from West
End Bank, a donation of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars and No Cents ($250); from The Wayne
County Foundation, a donation of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars and No Cents ($250); from
Richmond Baking Company, a donation of Fifty Dollars and No Cents ($50), to the Human
Rights Commission, to be used to assist with the funding of the `First Annual Dream Keepers
Dance', in honor and recognition of `Disability Awareness Month.'
Passed and adopted this _4'h _ day of _April 2011, by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.
