ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYRIWOOD, CALIFOFu'�IIA
ANIENDING SECTION 5 OP' ORDINAPICE N0. 382 PROVID-
ING I'OR SERVICE CONNECTIOPI CHARGES AND CONSTRUCTION
CHARGE RATE.
The City Council of the City of Zynwood does ordain as follows:
Section 1 . Section 5 of Ordinance No. 382 shall be amendad
as follows:
Section 5. No water service co nnections shall be made until the
ovrner oP the premises or his duly authorized agent shall make applica-
tion for such connection upon a form provided by the water department.
Applications for water service shall be accompanied by a service
connection charge in the amount hereinafter specified. V3here more
than one (1) consumer is or may be served, fron one (1) connection
shut-off, separate valves shall be installed for each such consumer
before a water connection is installed. In case of new construction
of any building, where there is no present water connection for
said premises, applications £or water service shall be made before a
. permit shall�be issued by the Building Inspector of said City, and
in such case, no new water service connection shall be made until
such building permit has been issued. In those instances where new
water service connection shall be on a flat rate charge, two months'
payment in advance shall be collected from the constructor which shall
be the total expanse of water charges until such construction work
has been completed. Upon completion of construction work, the owner
of the property will have to make application for service. DTo charge
ivill be made for this application, New water service connections
may be fornished at a flat rate for 3/4" connections only. All
water connections larger than 3/4" connection will be fornished with �
a vrater meter and will be billed at the metered rate hereina£ter
set f'orth. Charges for new water connection

In those instances^where water mains are not ad,jacent to the

property application for water has been made, the City will
extend its water mains a maximum of 150' without cost to the applicant
for each service requested. All additional mains requir�d in excess
of 150' shall be paid for by the applicant at a cost of �1.50 per
lineal foot. Refund of this cost will be made to the applicant if,
within ten (10) years, sufficient taps have been made into the extend-
ed line whereby there will be one (1) water service for each 150'
of new water main laid.
Section 2 . The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of t his Ordinance and shall forthwith cause the sama to be
published once in the "Lynwood Press",. a weekly newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated within said City.of
Lynwood which is hereby designated for such publication. ,
