AN?ENDING ORDINADICE N0. 422 SECTION.S, SUB-9ECTION
A3, AND ADDING A SECTIODt THERETO TO BE KNOPIN AS
SECTT_ON 4, SUB-SECTIOYd A6 TO ALL04V "HOP�RE OCCU-
PATI0�1S" IN R-1 ZONE.
The City Couiicil oF the City of Lynwood, California does
ordain as follows:
Section 1 : Tha.t Ordinance No. 422, Section 4, Sub-eection
A3 �hall be amended to read as follows:
Section 4, Sub-section a3: 'One (1) unlighted sign not
exceeding six (6) squ�re feet in area pertaining enly to the sale,

lease, or hir_ of only th„ particular building, property or premises

upon which displayed, sha11 be allovaed in any "R-1" One-family zone.
Section 2: That Ordinance No. 422, Section 4, sub-section
A be amended by addin�^thereto a nevr section designated as Section a,
sub-section A6, which section is as follows:
Section 4, sub-section a6:

a. Home occupations, including any vocation or trade when
carried on �uithin the dwelling; provided not more than tvventy-five
per cent (25�fo) of the around flocr of the dwellir.g is so occupied;
or.ly electrically operated motors, not in exceas of one-half (?)
horsepo�ver or a total horsepower in any one build.ing not exceeding
one and one-half (12) horsepotver; no merchandise or articles are
displayed for advertieing purpoees; no articles or materials pertain-
ing to such home occupation are stored other than in the dwelling
and provided no more than two persons shall be engaged in said °home
occupation."
b. Professional offices such as tha.t o£ a phyeician,
surgeon, dentist, lau,yer, rnusic teacher, art teacher, or photoorapher,
Yvhen situated within the dwelling; provided not more than t�venty-five
(25�) per cent of the ground floor area of such dwelling is so occupied,

and provided no namealate or sign be displayed upon the premises
other than one unlighted sign not exceeding two square feet in
, area containing the name of the profession and the occu�ant of the
premises.
c. Provided further that be°ore the License Collector of
the City of Lynviood shall issue a license °or said "Home Occupations"
the applicant shall present a request to the Gouncil of said-City '
for a licenee to be allowed. Said request should contain �uritten
approval from all property osrners txrithin a radius of one hund.red and
fifty feet (150')�of the loc2.tion of said proposed occupation. - It"
is further provided that the.applicant shall pro�ride the Licen�e
Collector post cards, properly addressec�. to the property ovrners
involved. The Council may, nottivithst2nding sueh a grant or
deny any such request.' If the Council of said C?ty aprroves said
request the License Collector shall issue license in conformance laith
the current "&usiness License Ordinance," of said City. Said. licenses
may be'revoked, with�or without crzuse, by said Council upon thirty (30)
days' vmitten notice from said City Council,
- Seetion 3: The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed
to certify to the pas�age of this ordinance a.nd to cause the same to
be published once in the Lynvaood Prese, a newspaper of general circu-
lation printed, publiehed, and circulated in the vity of Lynwood, '
This ordinance shall be effective thirty davs after passage.
