AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDINQ
ORDINANCE N0. 68� 49�, GOVERNING IN-
STALLATION OF GAS HEATERS AND GAS METERS.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain
ae follo�ve: � , �
Bection 1: That Section 49� of Ordinanoe No. 68, be
amended to reafl as followa:
Section 49�: Gas Heaters and Gas Metere.
No gas heatera shall be vented to any pipe, chimney or
flue to which there is connected any appliances..which burn fuel
other than gaa. And it ehall be unlawful for any peraon, firm,
asaoaiation or oorporation to erect or inetall or to cause or to per-
mit to be installed any gas water heater in any bedroom or bathroom;
and if inetalled in a recess or closet cloeed by a door, then it
ehall be provided with an air inlet at the floor and with an outlet
at the ceiling aix inchee aquare; and in no oase shall any water
heater be placed nearer than eix inches to any wood or woodlath

and plaeter unlees eome fire-reaiating� conatruction be used.
In all buildinga hereafter erected, all gas meter inetall-
stions ehall be outside of the building unlesa an enclosure 24x24x24�
in ita least dimeneion ehall be made under the building and this en-
closure made to resiat one hour fire exposure.
8ection 2: The City Clerk ehall certify to the paseage and
adoption of thia ordinance and shall cause the sa�e to be published
once in the Lynwood Prees, a newspaper published, printed and circu-
lated in the City of Lynwood, California, and whlch said newspaper is
hereby designated for tha.t purpose.
