ORDINANCE N0. 455
AN ORDINANCE OF THE GITY OF LYN�VOOD E3TABLISHING '
A 8ET BACK BUILDING LINE ON LONG BEACH BOULEVARD
IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, AND REPEAL-
ING ORDINANCES NOS. 415 AND 450.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain aa
followa:
Section l: (a) That there is hereby established a
buildin� eet-back line of five (5) feet on both eidee of Long Beach
Boulenard from the northerly roadway of Fernwood Avenue to Beechwood
Anenue.
(b) That there ie hereby establlshed a building aet-back
line of seven (7) feet on the westerly side of Long Beach Boulevard
from Elzclid Avenue to Palm Avenue; fr6m Carlin Avenue to Cedar Avenue;
' from Josephine Street to Lynwood Road; from Flovrer Street to the
northerly roadway of Fernwood Avenue; Prom Beeckiwood Anenue to
Imperial Highway; from Oakwood Anenue to Loe Flores Boulevard and
from Norton Avenue to Century Boulevard. -
(c) That there ie hereby establiehed a building aet-back
line of ten (10) feet on the weaterly side of Long Beach Boulevard
from Orchard Anenue to Euclid Avenue; from Palm Avenue to Carlin
• Avenue; from Cedar Avenue to Josephine Street; from Lynwood Road
to Flovaer Street; from Imperia2 Highway to Oakvrood Anenue; from
Loe Floree Boulenard to Norton Avenue and from Century Boulevard
to Teaeedy Boulevard..
(d) That there ia hereby establiahed a building eet-back
of seven (7) feet on the easterly eide of Long Beach Boulevard from
Palm Avenue to Carlin Avenue; from Burton Avenue to Cedar Avenue;
from Agnea Avenue to Virginia Avenue; from Lynwood Road to the northerly
roadway of Fernwood Avenue; from Beeahwood Avenue to Imperial Highway
and from Loa Flores Boulevard to Century Boulevard.

(e) That there ia hereby eatablished a building set-back
line of ten (10) feet on the eaeterly side of Lon� Bea¢h Boulevard
from the southerly city boundary to Palm Avenue; from Carlin Avenue
to Burton Avenue; from Cedar Anenue to Agnes Avenue; from Virgin3a
Anenue-to Lynwood Road; from Imperial Hi�hway to Loe Floree Boulevard
and from Century Boulevard to Tweedy Boulevard.
' Section 2: That no building or atrueture shall be erected
between the easterly or westerlq lines of Long Beach Boulevard and
the set-baok linee set forth in Section 1 of this ordinanoe and the
Building Inspector. of the City of Lynwood ie hereby direeted to not
issue any building permit to construct any buildin$ or etructure
between the lines above apecified. The word "etructure" Ss hereby
, defined to include any post, eign, fence, box, machine, device, or
other obatruotion.
Seation 3: That the map marked uE�chibit A° and attached
-•- hereto ia hereby made a pa.rt.of this ordinance... . ._ _
Seation 4: That ordinances numbered 415 and 450 are
hereby repea.led.
3ection 5: Any violation of thle Ordinanoe ahall be a
misdemeanor punieha.ble by a flne of not exceedin� three hundred
dollars ($300.00) or by imprisonment•in the County Jail of Los
Angeles County or in the City Jail of the City of Lynwood for a
term of not exceeding ninety (90) daye.
Section 6: The City Clerk ahall certify to the psaeage of
this ordinance and ahall cauae said ordinance to be publlshed onee
in the Lynwood Prees, a weekly neveapaper of general airculation,
