The City Council of the City of Lynv�ood, California, does ordain as follows, to-�vit: Section 1: That for the burpoaes of taxation, all of that territory and lands lying and being in the corporate limits of the City of Lynwood, California, prior to July 19, 1941, �rrhich v�ras the dute of the completion of the annexation of '�Broadacres", be known as and constitute tax district RTO. 1 of said City. Section 2: That all of that territory and lands known as "B'roadacres" and the annexation of ��rhich to the said Cit;� of Lynvrood �vas completed July 19, 1941 and described as follo�vs: Beginning at the intersection of the westerly line of Bullis Road i�ith`the weaterly prolongation of the northerly line of Carlin Avenue (33 feet wide) as shown on County Surveyor's &Iap No..B 6, said point of beginning• being on the easterly • boundary line of the City of Lynwood, as said boun- dary line existed on February 10, 1941; thence easterly along eaid prolon�ed line to the easterly line of Bullis Road; thence Easterly along the northerly line of said Carlin Avenue to the west- erly line of Caress Street (40 f.eet wide) as sho�vr. on said County Surveyor's Map; thence northerly along tYie westerly line of Caress Street to the southerly line of Tract No. 11378, as shovrn on map recorded in Book 203, Pages 27 and 28 of It2aps, Records of Los Angeles Count,y, California; thence northerly along the easterly line of said Tract Dto. 11378 and its northerly prolongation to a point 30 feet northerly from the northerly line of said Tract No. 11378, said point being on the southerly Uoundary line of the City of Lynwood, as said boun- dary llne exi"sted February 10, 1941; thence v�esterly along said 'oound.ary line and following the same in all its various courses to the point of beginning; in Los Angelea County, California, be knotivn as and constitute tax District No. 2 of said City of Lynwood. . -1- � i , Section 3: That the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property, within the corporate limits of the City of Lynwood, Count,y of Los Angeles, State o� ' California including Tax District No. 1 and No. 2 of said Cit,y, to provide for-carrying on the various functions of ��unicipal,�overn- ment in said City for the fiscal year beginning July l, 1947 and ending dune 30th, 1948 is�hereby fixed at the sum oY One Hundred Twenty Ei�ht Thousand Six Hundred Seventy-one and Fifty-four/ One-Hundredths Dollars (�128,671.54). Section 4: .That in addition to the amount of money necessary to be raised as a.foresaid, the amount of money necessary • to be raised by tAxation upon the taxable property �rithin the cor- �, porate limits of said City, and in Tax Districts No. 1 and No. 2 of said City, to provide for a capital fund., for capital outlays and for public improvements, to-wit: public parks as authorized by provisions of Ordinance No. 322 of said City, for the fiscal year beginning July l, 1947 and ending June 30, 1948, is hereby . fixed at the sum of Two Thousand idine Hundred Ninety-eight and Three/One-hundredths Dollars ��2,998.03). Sect3on 5: That in addition to the amount of money necessary to be raised as aforesaid, the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the cor- ,. , porate limits of said City in` Tax District No. 1 and No. 2 of said City to provide for the pa,yment to the 5tate �".�nployeea' Retirement System a.ccording to the terms of contract with the State of Calif- ornia for makin� the oYficials and employees of the Gity of Lynwood members of the State F�nnployees' Retirement System; authority for the execution of said contract is granted by OrdSnance No. 426, adopted by a vote of the qualified electors of the City of Lynv�ood . _2_ , the 16th day of April, 1946. For the fiscal year beginning July l, 1947 �nd ending June 30, 1948 it is hereby fixed at the sum oY Forty One Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-Two and Thirty-five/One- hundredths Dollars (�41,972.35). . Section.6: That in addition to the amount of money necessary to be raised as aforesaid., the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the limits of Tax District T4o. 1 of said. City of Lynwood, to provide for the payments of the annua.l interest, and that portion of the principal as shall become due before the time for fixing the next general tax levy of those certain bonds in the principal amount of Fifty Thousar.d and No/Qne-hundredths Aollara (�5:0,000.00) as auth- orized by Ordinance No. 94 of said City of Lynwood, adopted on tihe , lst day of Uctober, 1927, by the Board of Trustees of said City, is the sum of Four Thousand. Four Hundred Eleven and Eighty-five/One- hundredths Dollars (�4,411.85). Section 7:.. That for the purpose of raising the sums of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the GitS� limits of said City of Lynwood as the revenue to carry on the function oP the various departments of said Cit,y; to provide a park capital account; to provide payment to State �nployees� _ Retirement Fund as authorized in Ordinance A`o. 426, and to retire the bonds and coupons becoming due as provided by Ordinance No. 94, the rates of taxes are hereby fixed and taxes are hereby levied on a11 taxable propert,y within the City limits of said City, included in Tax District-Nos. 1 and 2 for the fiscal year beginning July l, 1947 and ending June 30, 1948, upon each �100.00 as the aasessed value of said property as assessed by the County Assessor and equalized by the Boa.rd of uupervisors of t�e Count,y of Los Angeles, State of Calif- ornia, for the said fiscal year, as follovrs: _ 3- , Tax District Tax Dietrict No. 1 No. 2 . It is required by law that the "Tax Rate" be estaplished no later than August 25, 1947. _ Section 9: That the City Clerk of said City ehall certify to the passage of this Ord_inance and cause the sarne to be published once in the Lynurood Press, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in said City of Lynwood.
