ORDINANCE N0. 475
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SAFETY AND FIRE REGU-
LATIONS IId ATTACfiED GARAGE AND HOU&IIQG OVER
, GARAGES IN THE CITY UF LYNWOOD, ENFORCEMENT
THEREOF AND PENALTIES FOR ITS VIOLATION.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood doee ordain as
' Yollows: '
Section 1: That any atructure of housing of Type 5, where
the garage or garages or any portion of said garages ie built in
connection with or under auch houaing, shall require all interior
walls, ceilinga or attic connections to be lathed with either 4.2
copper bearing• metal lath, 3/8 grip lath or equal and harc?wall to
- complete 7/8" lath and plaster or 17 gauge 1�" chicken wire over
20 gau$e line wire and 15# paper and 7/8" ste,ndard etucco on entire
area.
Section 2: Failure to so plaster interior of such con-
struction will be Just cauee for Building Department to refuse
further progress approvals until all such areas are plastered in
aacordance with 8ection 1 of this ordinance.
Section 3: Any peraon, firm or corporation violating any
of the provisions of this ordinance ahall be deemed gullty of a mis-
demeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be puniahable by a fine
of not to exceed five hundred dollars (�+500.00) or imprisonment in
the City Jail of the City of Lynwood or the County Jail of Los Angeles
County, 3tate of California, for a period of time not to exceed aix
montha, or by both such fine and_imprisonment.
Each such person, firm or corporation ahall be deemed guilty
• of a separate offense for every day during any portion oP which vio-
lation of any provision oP this ordinance is committed, continued, or
permitted by such pereon, firm, or corporation, t?nd shall be puniahable
thereYor as provided by this ordinance.

Section 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of thie ordinance and shall cauae the same to be pub-
lished once in the Lynwood Presa, a weekly newapaper, published,
printed, and circulated in the City of Lynwood, California, and
which said newspaper is hereby deaignated for that purpoae.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of Apr11, 1948.
