AN ORDIi1ANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWCqD APPHOVING THE
� ANN[�ttEXATIUN OE CERTAIN TLHRITORY DPSIC�tATrD. AS

VdI-IEREAS, pursuant to the ��Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act o£ 1939," a petition was filed with the City Clerk and duly presented to the
, � City.Council of the City of Lynwood on September 16;.19(�S, requesting the
annesation to the City o£ I,ynwood of that certain uninhabited territory contiguous
to the City of Lytmood designated as ��Qzell ,2�anor, linnex No. 2." and hereinafter
particularly described; and
YJAEi?EAS; by Resolution No.� 71.53 published in the Lyrnvood Press on .
October.' Sr&'•15, 19lt8, the City Council of the City of Lynwood duly gave notice
of and fixed the 19th da5> of October, 191t8� at 8 o�clock'p.m. in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall� 1 1331 Plaza, Lyrnvood� Cali£ornia�, as the day, hour�
and place when and vrhere�any person cwning real property in such territory,so
published•to be annexed and having any objection to the proposed annexation might

� appear befere said City Council and show cause why such territory should not be
so annexed; and

� SECTLON 1: That pursuant to the '"Anne�cation o£ Uninhabited Territory '
Act of 1939 the anneacation of that certain uninhabited territozy contiguous to
the City of Iyrnvood� in the Coupty o£ �.os dngeles� State of California, designated
as ��Ozell Manor� Annex No. 2" as hereinafter more particularly described,herebp
is approv�d. . .
Said property is situated southerly o£ Carliri Avenue and Easterly
: of Bullis Road and is included within the boundary line described as £ollows:

' . Beginning at a point on the northerly line of Carlin
Avenue (33 ft. wide) distant thereon 11lt6.60 £eet

SECTIQN 2: This ordinance is urgently required £or the
immediate preservation of public�peace� health and safety in the City of Lyrnrood '
and shall be in ef£ect immediately upon The following is a specific
statement showing the emergency of this ordinance:
. There is urgent need for addit3onal housing facilities in the
city of Lynwood and the land proposed to be annexed by the City vril7. :orovide a,
suitable area for the building of homes. Because the City o£ Lyrrn'ood lacks areas
suitable for subdivision purposes� the proposed annexation will help to fill a
great need of the City. Iramediate enactment of this orciinance is necessary to _
insure the general wel£axe and continued progress of the City of Lynwood.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this ordinance and shall cause eaine to be published once in the L;nmood Press. ,
