CALL TO ORDER

The December 30, 2005, "Brown Bag" Work Session was convened at 12:07 P.M. by Mayor
John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Berry, Brown, Harvey, Martin, and Schnitzler
Absent: Crane, Ferguson, Layton, Pope, and Vogel
A quorum was not present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Items were not necessarily discussed in order that they appeared on the agenda.
Bills Introduced:
2005 -132: City Counselor Nathan Nickolaus distributed copies of Bill 2005 -132 which he
requested be added to the agenda, and also asked if the sponsor would consider asking
for suspension of the rules. He explained the reason for staff's request to suspend the
rules.
Mayor John Landwehr suggested discussing the Unilever issue Tuesday night in closed
session.
Informal Calendar:
2005 -115 will die on the Informal Calendar.
2005 -116 will remain on the Informal Calendar.
Mayor John Landwehr asked if a report from the JCTV Steering Committee had ever been
scheduled, and asked the City Clerk to check back in the minutes and let him know.
New Business:
Councilman Jonathon Schnitzler stated he would like to discuss if there were any ways for
Council Members who are working professionals that cannot attend the Brown Bag
meetings to be able to participate in those meetings. Mayor John Landwehr asked I.T.
COUNCIL WORK SESSION DECEMBER 30, 2005 2
Division Manager Bill Betts to start looking into the various ways that might be achieved
through some kind of communication technology.
Closed Session:
The City Clerk was asked to amend the agenda by adding "Personnel" as an issue to be
discussed in Closed Session.

There being no other business brought forward, the meeting adjourned at 12:30 P.M.
