HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 19-5403 Master Fee and Fine Schedule for FY 2019-20RESOLUTION NO. 19-5403 ' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE MASTER FEE AND FINE SCHEDULE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2019-20 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Temple City desires to defray the costs of providing various programs, services, and facilities; and WHEREAS, the City Council has received and considered information about the actual cost of providing such programs, services, and facilities; and WHEREAS, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on June 18, 2019, to consider approving the updated Master Fee and Fine Schedule for Fiscal Year 2019-20, which includes previously established fees and fines and establishes several new fees. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City does hereby resolve, find, determine, and order as follows: SECTION 1. The fees set forth in the Master Fee and Fine Schedule, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference, are reasonably necessary to recover the costs of providing the programs, services, and facilities for which such fees are levied or authorized to be levied. SECTION 2. City Council Resolution No. 18-5334 and the attachments thereto are hereby superseded in their entirety by this resolution and the updated Master Fee and Fine Schedule, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution and it shall thereupon take effect. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on this 18th day of June, 2019. The initial license fee and permit fee payment is prorated quarterly for all license and permit types. Proration is calculated as a percentage of the fee based on when the business is initially licensed as follows: January 1— March 31: 100%, April 1— June 30: 75%, July 1— September 30: 50%, October 1— December 31: 25% • Process fees listed below are one-time fees that are due payable when a business application is submitted. Process fees are required for new businesses and for any change to an existing business that requires a new application to be submitted, including but not limited to moving to a different location or a change of ownership. • Other fees listed below are annual fees that are due payable when a business application is submitted and annually thereafter, unless otherwise noted. Background checks, when required for regulated businesses, are conducted annually by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD). Background checks are required for every business owner.
